Oorsig
Koördineer brandseekheidsinisiatiewe deur munisipaliteite te monitor en te ondersteun met brand- en reddingsdiensplanne, wetgewende raamwerke en strategieë.
Vereistes
- Die ideale kandidaat moet oor 'n toepaslike Nasionale Diploma (NQF 6) in Brandtegnologie soos deur SAQA erken beskik, tesame met 2 jaar ervaring in brand- en reddingsdienste en 'n geldige C1-bestuurslisensie.
- Essensiële Kennis, Vaardighede En Bevoegdhede Vereis: Die suksesvolle kandidaat moet oor die volgende beskik: Deeglike kennis van die Disaster Management Act;
- Fire Brigade Act;
- Kennis van brand- en reddingsdiensprosedures;
- Public Service Act;
- Munisipale regulasies en beleide;
- Vermoë om beleide te ontleed en te interpreter;
- Notule neem en verslagdoeningsvaardighede;
- Goeie organisatoriese vaardighede, kantoorbestuur en dokumentopsporing;. Kapasiteitsbou;
- Goeie kommunikasievaardighede (mondelings en skriftelik) met munisipaliteite, Tradisionele Instellings, die Publiek, privaatsektorpersoneel en bestuur;
- Goeie rekenaarvaardigheid in MS Office (Ms Word, Ms Excel en PowerPoint).
Pligte
- Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal vereis word om munisipaliteite en belanghebbendes te ondersteun met brand- en reddingsdienste met die volgende verantwoordelikhede: Monitor, evalueer en bied ondersteuning met die ontwikkeling en implementering van planne, wetgewende raamwerke en strategieë vir brand- en reddingsdienste binne die Provinsie;
- Implementeer en ondersteun munisipaliteite met kapasiteitsbouprogramme vir brandseekheid en -dienste;
- Ondersteun met die totstandbrenging en instandhouding van IGR-strukture in brand- en reddingsdienste;
- Ondersteun munisipaliteite met die koördinering van reaksievermoëns;
- Bied tegniese ondersteuning vir nakoming van Nasionale en Provinsiale vereistes.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment, the logistics of which will be communicated by the Department. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
