GISc Tegnolog gesoek deur die Gauteng Department of Human Settlements in Johannesburg om ruimtelike dataversameling, ontleding en databasisontwerp uit te voer.

Vereistes

• Graad 12 plus drie (3) tot vier (4) jaar GIS-graad of verwante baccalaureusgraad gekoppel aan 3 jaar na-Tegnoloog-ervaring.
• Verpligte registrasie by PLATO.
• Besit van 'n geldige bestuurderslisensie.
• Sterk GIS-vaardighede met twee of meer GIS-pakette (bv. ESRI).
• Vermoë om wetenskap en tegnologie doeltreffend en krities te gebruik.
• Kennis van regsnavolging.
• Probleemoplossing en ontleding. Konflikbestuur. Besluitneming.
• Finansiële bestuur. Spanleierskap. Konflikbestuur.

• Voer alle GISc tegniese funksies uit.
• Versamel en vang data uit verskeie formate en bronne.
• Ontwerp en implementeer 'n ruimtelike databasis om die vereiste datastelle te stoor.
• Datamanipulasie en ontleding insluitend kwaliteitsversekering.
• Skepping en onderhoud van ruimtelike datatopologie en -eienskappe, formaatmanipulasie.
• Pas geoverwysing, datum- en projeksietransformasies toe.
• Verskaf tegniese ondersteuning rakende sagteware en datagebruik aan geografiese inligtingstelsel (GISc) gebruikers.
• Ontwerp, ontwikkel en skep geodatabasisse, kaarte en ander verwante projekte.
• Bevorder en neem deel aan belanghebbenderelaties.
• Handhaaf GISc-eenheid se doeltreffendheid.
• Ontwikkel Geografiese Inligtingswetenskap (GISc) ruimtelike inligtingshulpmiddels binne organisasieprosesse.
• Verskaf toegang tot ruimtelike inligting en geografiese inligtingsdienste aan alle kliënte in die Departement.
• Lei eindgebruikers te alle tye in vaardighede rakende GISc.
• Verseker interoperabiliteit tussen stelsels om doeltreffendheid te maksimeer.
• Publiseer data in 'n webgebaseerde GISc-stelsel om geografiese inligting via die internet te verskaf.
• Fasiliteer GISc-implementering.
• Onderneem stelseloudit.
• Onderneem vereiste-ontleding.
• Onderneem koste-batenontleding.
• Ontwikkel prosesmodelle en werksvloeidiagramme.
• Implementeer GIS-standaarde.
• Opstel Terme van Verwysing vir GIS-projekte.
• Voer navorsing oor nuwe GIS-tegnologieë uit.
• Navors, ondersoek en gee advies oor nuwe GIS-tegnologieë.
• Gee advies oor navorsingslewensvatbaarheid en -haalbaarheid.
• Beveel aan en stel 'n toepaslike plan op om op die navorsingsprobleem te reageer.
• Ontwikkel nuwe metodes/tegnologieë vir die oplossing van ruimtelike dataprobleme.
• Navors en implementeer nuwe GIS-standaarde. Bewarding.
• Allokeer, beheer, monitor en rapporteer oor alle hulpbronne.
• Bestuur en implementeer kennisdeling-inisiatiewe bv. korttermynopdragte en tweedeings binne en dwarsoor operasies, ter ondersteuning van individuele ontwikkelingsplanne, operasionele vereistes en opbrengs op investering; en Monitor voortdurend die uitruil en beskerming van inligting tussen operasies en individue om effektiewe kennisbestuur volgens departementele doelwitte te verseker.
