Vereistes

• MB;. ChB-graad.
• Huidige registrasie as 'n Spesialis in Pediatrie by die Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Registrasiesertifikaat as 'n Spesialis in Pediatrie by HPCSA.
• Bykomende kwalifikasie: Ervaring in kritieke sorg sal 'n voordeel wees.
• Ervaring: Graad 1 Geen ervaring vereis nie.
• Graad 2: 5 Jaar toepaslike ervaring as 'n Mediese Spesialis na registrasie by die HPCSA as 'n Mediese Spesialis (Pediatrie).
• Graad 3: 10 Jaar toepaslike ervaring as 'n Mediese Spesialis na registrasie by die HPCSA as 'n Mediese Spesialis (Pediatrie).
• Kennis, vaardighede, opleiding en bevoegdhede vereis: Breë kennis van werk in algemene Pediatrie en Etiek.
• Goeie kommunikasie en toesighoudende vaardighede.
• Toepaslike spesialisassessering, diagnoses en pasiëntbestuur.
• Bekendheid met prosedures en bestuurprotokolle binne die subspesialiteit van pediatriese kritieke sorg.
• Werk met multidissiplinêre spanne.
• Toesig en onderrig van voorgraadse en nagraadse studente.
• Gedragskenmerke: Stresverdraagsaamheid.
• Vermoë om in 'n span te werk. Selfvertroue.
• Vermoë om verhoudings te bou en te handhaaf.

Pligte

• Verplig om op te lei in pediatriese kritieke sorg.
• Onderneem saalrondes in die pediatriese intensiewe sorg, hoësorg en sale.
• Konsultasie vir verwysings van kinders met kritieke siekte.
• Oproepe in die pediatriese diens.
• Klinieke vir post PICU/HCU-pasiënte.
• Opleiding van genote in subspesialiteitsopleiding.
• Onderrig van voorgraadse mediese studente.
• Opleiding van nagraadse studente (registrateurs/mediese beamptes) in pediatrie.
• Verwag om uitreik te doen by tersiêre/regionale hospitale. Gemeenskapsbetrokkenheid.
• Betrokke by kliniese bestuur en gehaltestrydingsplan.
