Bestuur die Pediatriese Neurochirurgiese Kliniese Eenheid by Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital en hou toesig oor kliniese sorg, bestuur, personeelprestasie en dienslewering.

Vereistes

  • MBChB-graad of gelykwaardige kwalifikasies.
  • Registrasiesertifikaat by die Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as 'n Mediese Spesialis in Neurochirurgie en huidige registrasie as 'n Mediese Spesialis in Neurochirurgie by die HPCSA.
  • Minimum 5 jaar se ervaring na registrasie as 'n spesialis Neuroloog.
  • Bykomende kwalifikasies: Mmed of gelykwaardige hoër graad.
  • Ervaring in Pediatriese Neurochirurgie.
  • Ervaring in 'n tersiêre/kwaternêre akademiese omgewing.
  • Ervaring in kliniese bestuur en diensontwikkeling.
  • Kennis, vaardighede en bevoegdhede: Kundigheid in die bestuur van Pediatriese Neurochirurgiese toestande.
  • Kennis van nasionale en internasionale demografie, huidige gesondheids- en openbare dienswetgewing, regulasies en beleid, insluitend mediese etiek, epidemiologie en statistiek.
  • Sterk kliniese besluitneming, kommunikasie en interpersoonlike vaardighede.
  • Ervaring in multidissiplinêre spanwerk, kliniese opleiding en funksionering in 'n kwaternêre hospital.
  • Vermoë om leerlinge, junior personeel en verwante personeel te onderrig, te superviseer en te mentor.
  • Kennis van navorsingsbeginsels met vermoë om akademiese uitset te dryf.
  • Leierskap, administratiewe en konflikoplossingsvaardighede.

Pligte

  • Bestuur en bestuur die Pediatriese Neurochirurgiese Kliniese Eenheid soos gedelegeer deur die Hoof Kliniese Departement van Neurochirurgie in die volgende areas: Verseker hoë standaarde van kliniese sorg, etiek en bestuur.
  • Hou toesig oor eenheidsadministrasie, personeelprestasie en dienslewering.
  • Verskaf spesialis kliniese dienste, insluitend buitepasient sorg, konsultasies en neurochirurgiese noodgevalle.
  • Neem deel na-ure konsultant dekking.
  • Lei opleiding van voorgraadse en nagraadse studente en verwante gesondheidspersoneel.
  • Ontwikkel en implementeer kliniese protokolle soos dit pediatriese neurochirurgiese toestande en ander neurochirurgie-verwante toestande raak.
  • Ondersteun kliniese oudit en gehalteversekeringsprogramme.
  • Bevreedig inligting en versterk streek pediatriese neurochirurgie dienste by sekondêre en tersiêre vlak hospitale.
  • Verseker doeltreffende en koste-effektiewe gebruik van hulpbronne.
  • Bevreedig en ondersteun navorsing en akademiese ontwikkeling soos gedelegeer deur die Hoof Kliniese Departement in ooreenstemming met die beleide van UKZN.
