Lê die kliniese eenheid vir kindergeneeskundige longsiektes en intensiewe sorg by Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal.

Vereistes

• Geneeskundige graad MBCHB.
• Geregistreerde Kindergeneesheer, Sertifikaat in subspesialiteite (Kindergeneeskundige Longsiektes).
• Huidige registrasie by die Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), registrasiesertifikaat by die HPCSA as 'n Mediese Spesialis of Subspesialis in Longsiektes plus 5 jaar se ervaring na registrasie.
• Kennis, Vaardighede, Opleiding en Bevoegdhede Vereis: Die ampsdraer sal op 'n hoë vlak van leierskap moet dien.
• Verskaf visie in die ontwikkeling van die diens in kindergeneeskundige kritiese sorg en/of longsiektes.

Pligte

• Administrasie in Kindergeneeskundige Longsiektes – verskaf jaarlikse oudits en/of administrasie in Kindergeneeskundige Kritiese Sorg (Kindergeneeskundige intensiewe en hoë sorg) verskaf jaarlikse oudits.
• Onderneem saalrondtes in die kindergeneeskundige intensiewe sorg, hoë sorg en/of longsiektes.
• Longsiektes: Bronchoskopie – buigsaam en styf, longfunksie-toetsanalise, evaluering van gevorderde longsiekte-ondersoeke verpligtend.
• Vaardighede om in 'n ICU-omgewing te funksioneer d.w.s. invoeg van indringende moniteringstoestelle en behandeling van kritiek siek kinders.
• Konsultasie vir verwysings van kinders met kritieke siekte en/of longsiekte.
• Oproepe in die PICU en longsiektes gelyktydig.
• Klinieke in óf Longsiektes óf na PICU/HCU-pasiënt.
• Opleiding van genote in subspesialiteitsopleiding.
• Onderrig van voorgraadse mediese studente.
• Opleiding van nagraadse studente (registrateurs/mediese beamptes) in kindergesondheid.
• Verwag om uitreikwerk by tersière/regionale hospitale te onderneem. Gemeenskapsbetrokkenheid.
• Betrokke by kliniese bestuur en gehalteverbeteringsplan.
• Monitering van pendel-oortydvorms van konsultant se aktiwiteite binne longsiektes en kritiese sorg.
