Verskaf sekretariële en administratiewe ondersteuning aan die Sekretaris vir Verdediging by die Armscor-gebou in Pretoria, met Graad 12, 'n sekretariële diploma en drie jaar se ervaring as vereistes.
Vereistes
- Graad 12 (NQF Level 4) of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie met 'n Sekretariële Diploma. 'n Nationale Diploma (NQF Level 6) sal as 'n bykomende voordeel dien of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie. 'n Minimum van drie (3) jaar se gesamentlike ervaring in die lewer van 'n ondersteuningsdiens aan Senior Bestuur en uitvoerende administratiewe ondersteuningsdienste, insluitend verslagskrywing en voorbereiding van agtergrondnotas, met sterk organisatoriese vaardighede vir Senior Bestuur.
- Kennis van Openbare Diens-wetgewing, Rekordbestuur, Kantooradministrasie en Finansiële Administrasie.
- Spesiale vereistes (vaardighede benodig): Sund organisatoriese vaardighede en tydbestuurvaardighede.
- Goeie mensevaardighede.
- Hoë vlak van betroubaarheid.
- Bewese skriftelike en verbale kommunikasievaardighede.
- Vermoë om met takt en diskresie op te tree.
- Vermoë om navorsing te doen en dokumente en situasies te ontleed.
- Goeie versorging en aanbieding.
- Selfbestuur en motivering.
- Bewese rekenaarvaardighede, insluitend die gebruik van die PowerPoint-rekenaarprogram.
Pligte
- 'n Suksesvolle kandidaat sal vereis word om die volgende pligte uit te voer: Verskaf sekretariële, ontvangs- en administratiewe ondersteuningsdienste aan die Sekretaris vir Verdediging.
- Ontvang besoekers, sift en stuur telefoonoproepe en hanteer navrae op professionele wyse.
- Verseker doeltreffende en effektiewe administratiewe ondersteuning aan die Sekretaris vir Verdediging in ooreenstemming met departementele vereistes.
- Ondersoek dokumente om aksies/inligting/ander dokumente vir vergaderings te bepaal.
- Onderhou 'n doeltreffende lêer- en rekordbestuurstelsel en administratiewe koördinasie in ooreenstemming met toepaslike beleide en prosedures.
- Bly op hoogte van relevante wetgewing, voorskrifte, beleide, prosedures en direktiewe wat op die werksomgewing van toepassing is.
- Berei en stel agtergrondnotas, verslae, korrespondensie, voorleggings, ander dokumente en relevante inligting vir die Sekretaris vir Verdediging op soos vereis.
- Koördineer logistieke reëlings vir vergaderings, insluitend plekke, voorsiening van etes, dokumentasie en tegniese vereistes.
- Koördineer die verkryging van goedere en items vir die aktiwiteite van die Sekretaris vir Verdediging.
- Koördineer die reis- en akkommodasiereëlings vir die Sekretaris vir Verdediging tydens vergaderings en besoekte.
- Skakel met interne en eksterne belanghebbendes namens die Sekretaris vir Verdediging.
- Onderhou te alle tye die vertroulikheid van sensitiewe inligting en dokumente.

Under no circumstances will photostat copies or faxed copies of application documents be accepted. The successful candidates will be subjected to Personnel Suitability Checks (criminal record, citizenship & financial/asset record checks and qualification and employment verification). Successful candidates will also be subjected to security clearance processes. The level of appointments is dependent upon, qualifications, relevant experience and research output. All shortlisted candidates, including SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One must be a practical exercise, and the other must be an Integrity (Ethical Conduct) Assessment. Selection panels shall score both technical exercises as an additional criterion in the interview process. The competency assessment will be limited to successful candidates in the interview process only. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability checks (pre-employment screening) which may include social media profiles checks. A successful candidate will have to undergo a full security vetting while in the employ of the department and negative outcome shall nullify employment contract. Failure to submit the required documents will result in your application not being considered. Successful candidates will be required to disclose their financial interests within one (1) month of appointment.
