Assistent-direkteur: Kindgesondheid-pos in Pretoria wat die koördinering van kindgesondheidsbeleidontwikkeling en belanghebbende-betrokkenheid vir die Department of Health behels.

Vereistes

• Graad 12 (NQF Level 4)-sertifikaat en 'n NQF Level 6-kwalifikasie in Gesondheidswetenskappe of 'n verwante veld, erken deur die South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). 'n Minimum van drie (3) jaar se ervaring in 'n gesondheidsverwante omgewing, met kennis en ervaring in die implementering van die Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI)-strategie.
• Kennis van kindgesondheidsprogramme, basiese finansiële bestuur, beleidontwikkelingsprosesse, en die tersaaklike gesondheidsbeleide en wetgewende raamwerk.
• Kennis en ervaring in IMCI-opleidingsmetodes, insluitend aanlyn en afstand-IMCI (DIMCI), en bewese vaardighede in fasilitering en aanbieding.
• Goeie kommunikasie (skriftelik en mondelings), interpersoonlike, belanghebbende-betrokkenheid, organisatoriese, bestuurs- en rekenaarvaardighede. 'n Geldige bestuurslisensie, bereidheid om te reis, en die vermoë om beide onafhanklik en as deel van 'n span doeltreffend te werk.

Pligte

• Koördineer die ontwikkeling, hersiening en implementering van kindgesondheidsbeleide, -strategieë, -riglyne, -protokolle, -norme en -standaarde om kindgesondheidsdienste te versterk;
• Fasiliteer belanghebbende-konsultasies, tegniese werkgroepe en intersektorale betrokkenheid om kindgesondheidsbeleid, programbeplanning en -implementering te inlig.
• Verskaf tegniese ondersteuning en toesig aan provinsies oor die implementering, monitering en versterking van IMCI. en ander kindgesondheidsprogramme.
• Lei inisiatiewe om die bywerking, verspreiding, benutting en gehalteverbetering van die RTHB te bevorder.
• Lei die ontwikkeling en verspreiding van voorligtings-, inligtings-, opvoedings- en kommunikasie- (IEC) materiaal, insluitend die ontwerp, produksie en verspreiding van kindgesondheidsbevorderingsbronne.
• Werk saam met nasionale en internasionale vennote, insluitend agentskappe betrokke by kindgesondheid en Early Childhood Development (ECD), en koördineer met tersaaklike direktorate en belanghebbendes om 'n geïntegreerde benadering tot kindgesondheidsdienslewering te bevorder.
• Monitor en evalueer kindgesondheidsprogramprestasie, insluitend die naspoor van sleutelaanwysers soos sterftes onder vyf jaar, diarree-gevallesterftesyfers en longontsteking-gevallesterftesyfers, en ondersteun gehalteverbeteringsinisiatiewe.
• Identifiseer, monitor en verminder programrisiko's, reageer on ouditbevindings en -navrae, en ondersteun die implementering van bestuurs-, aanspreeklikheids- en risikobestuursmaatreëls binne die kindgesondheidsprogram.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements, and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Following the interview and technical exercise for SMS posts, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment (in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of competency-based assessments). The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment batteries. Applications should be submitted on the new Z83 form obtainable from any Public Service department and should be accompanied by a CV only (previous experience must be comprehensively detailed). The Z83 must be fully completed (in line with DPSA Practice note), failure to comply will automatically disqualify the applicant.
