Oorsig

Adjunkdirekteur vir ondersteuning vir internasionale koördinering by die Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment in Pretoria, wat multilaterale ooreenkomste en die administrasie van internasionale samewerking bestuur.

Vereistes

  • Nasionale Diploma (NQF6) in Openbare Bestuur/Administrasie/Besigheidsadministrasie of 'n relevante kwalifikasie binne die verwante veld soos deur SAQA erken. 'n Minimum van vyf (5) jaar se ervaring in die verwante veld waarvan drie (3) jaar op 'n toegang/junior bestuursvlak (Assistentdirekteur-vlak of gelykwaardig) moet wees.
  • Kennis van internasionale betrekkinge en diplomasie.
  • Goede beheer van geskrewe en mondelinge Engels en enige ander amptelike taal.
  • Kennis van strategiese koördinering/beplanning, besigheidsbeplanning, verslagdoening, professionele skryfwerk en beleidsontwikkeling.
  • Kennis en begrip van besigheidsprosesbestuur, organisasie, prestasiebestuur, risikobestuur en ouditprosedures.
  • Begrip van projeksbestuur.
  • Goeie begrip van administratiewe prosedures en gehaltebeheer van dokumente.
  • Kennis van regeringsbeleide en -wetgewing soos PAJA, PAIA, PFMA en ander Finansiële Bestuurs- en gepaardgaande voorskrifte.
  • Beplannings- en organiseervaardighede, fasiliteringsvaardighede, kommunikasievaardighede, tegniese skryfvaardighede en interpersoonlike verhoudings. Rekenaarvaardigheid.
  • Vermoë om doeltreffend met belanghebbendes op verskeie vlakke saam te werk.
  • Vermoë om onafhanklik en in 'n span te werk.
  • Proaktiewe benadering tot die nakom van sperdatums en die lewer van resultate met beperkte toesig.
  • Sin van verantwoordelikheid en lojaliteit.

Pligte

  • Verseker die voorsiening van administrasie van die departementele internasionale kernpunt, kommunikasie van internasionale samewerking en inligtingsbestuur en -verspreiding.
  • Verskaf departementele internasionale kernpuntdienste vir Multilaterale Ooreenkomste en ander internasionale konvensies.
  • Verseker die bestuur en verspreiding van inligting oor internasionale samewerking.
  • Verseker die voorsiening van afvaardigingsondersteuning vir internasionale betrekkinge.
  • Hou toesig oor die logistiese reëlings om Suid-Afrikaanse afvaardigings te ondersteun om doeltreffend aan internasionale betrekkinge deel te neem.
  • Bestuur die koördinering en administrasie van internasionale reisprogramme vir die departement.
  • Verseker die voorsiening van algemene ondersteuningsdienste vir die Hoofdirektoraat.
  • Bestuur die Hoofdirektoraat se bydraes tot die ontwikkeling van die Tak APP.
  • Fasiliteer die voorlegging van PMDS-dokumente van amptenare binne die Hoofdirektoraat en verseker nakoming van PMDS.
  • Monitor en hou toesig oor die Hoofdirektoraat se finansiële uitgawes.
  • Verskaf ondersteuningsdienste vir verkryging vir die Hoofdirektoraat.
  • Koördineer en verskaf ondersteuning vir internasionale projekte en implementering.

Entry level requirements for SMS posts: In terms of the Directive on Compulsory Capacity Development, Mandatory Training Days & Minimum Entry Requirements for SMS that was introduced on 1 April 2015, a requirement for all applicants for SMS posts from 1 April 2020 is a successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG) prior to appointment. The course is available at the NSG under the name Certificate for entry into SMS and the full details can be obtained by following the below link: https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entryprogramme. Furthermore, Shortlisted candidates must provide proof of successful completion of the course. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Following the interview and technical passement for all SMS posts, the Selection Panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of competency-based assessments. Persons appointed will be subjected to a security clearance, the signing of performance agreement and employment contract. The Department reserves the right not to make an appointment.
