Vereistes

• MBChB-graad of gelykwaardige kwalifikasie Plus.
• Sertifikaat van huidige registrasie by die HPCSA as 'n Mediese spesialis in Chirurgie.
• Kennis, vaardighede en bevoegdhede vereis: Kennis en vaardighede in volwasse en pediatrisee noodresussitasie-ingrepe.
• Kliniese kennis in akute en chroniese chirurgiese bestuur van pasiënte.
• Goeie interpersoonlike en toesigvaardighede.
• Toesig oor studente, interne, dokters, hulppersononeel en registrateurs.
• Bekwaam in die bestuur van chirurgiese trauma.
• Kennis en vermoë om laparoskopiese chirurgie uit te voer en te onderrig.

Pligte

• Verskaffing van gehalte-georiënteerde mediese sorg aan alle pasiënte in die Chirurgiese Eenheid.
• Onderhou akkurate mediese rekords in ooreenstem met regs- en etiese riglyne.
• Toesig oor interne, dokters, hulppersononeel.
• Deelname aan buite-ure pligte is verpligtend.
• Verskaffing om bystand te verleen in die uitreikprogramme.
