Vereistes

• Graad 1: Ervaring: Geen ervaring na registrasie by die Health Profession Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as 'n ultra-sonograaf ten opsigte van RSA-gekwalifiseerde werknemers wat Gemeenskapsdiens soos in Suid-Afrika vereis, verrig het. 1-jaar relevante ervaring na registrasie by HPCSA ten opsigte van buiteland gekwalifiseerde werknemers.
• Graad 2: Ervaring: 'n Minimum van 10 jaar toepaslike/herkenbare ervaring na registrasie by HPCSA as 'n ultra-sonograaf ten opsigte van RSA-gekwalifiseerde werknemers wat Gemeenskapsdiens verrig het. 11 jaar se ervaring na registrasie by HPCSA ten opsigte van buiteland gekwalifiseerde werknemers.
• Graad 3: Ervaring: 'n Minimum van 20 jaar toepaslike/herkenbare ervaring na registrasie by HPCSA as 'n ultra-sonograaf ten opsigte van RSA-gekwalifiseerde werknemers wat Gemeenskapsdiens verrig het. 21 jaar se ervaring na registrasie by HPCSA ten opsigte van buiteland gekwalifiseerde werknemers van wie dit nie vereis word om Gemeenskapsdiens soos in Suid-Afrika vereis, te verrig nie.
• Graad 12/Seniorsertifikaat.
• Graad/Nasionale Diploma in Ultrasound.
• Huidige registrasie by HPCSA as Sonograaf.
• Kennis, vaardighede, opleiding en bevoegdhede vereis vir die pos: Deeglike kennis van Verloskunde en Ginekologie-ultraklank.
• Deeglike kennis van algemene ultraklankskanderings.
• Deeglike kennis van ultraklankprosedures.
• Kennis van tersaaklike Gesondheids- en Veiligheidsbeleid, regulasies en wette.
• Deeglike verslagskryf- en administratiewe vaardighede.
• Kennis van Kwaliteitsversekeringsprosedures en -metodes.
• Deeglike kommunikasie-, interpersoonlike, probleemoplossings-, onderrig- en opleidingsvaardighede.
• Goeie interpersoonlike verhoudings en vermoë om in 'n span te funksioneer. Rekenaarvaardigheid.

Pligte

• Verskaf hoë gehalte ultraklankdienste in ooreenstemming met die omvang van praktyk en kliniese standaarde.
• Verskaf hoë gehalte ultraklankdienste volgens die pasiënt se behoeftes.
• Om goeie gesondheidspraktyke te bevorder en optimale pasiëntsorg te verseker.
• Voer alle ultraklankprosedures volledig uit om komplikasies te voorkom.
• Verskaf algemene administratiewe pligte soos vereis.
• Verskaf leiding en toesig aan junior personeel.
• Neem deel aan multidissiplinêre span as deel van mediese en verwante span.
• Neem deel aan institusionele radiografiese beleidbepaling en beplanning vir dienslewering.
• Bevorder Batho Pele-beginsels by die uitvoering van alle pligte vir effektiewe dienslewering.
• Verskaf feitelike inligting aan pasiënte en kliënte oor ultraklankondersoeke.
• Neem deel aan departementele Kwaliteitsversekering, Kwaliteitsverbeteringsprogramme en Nasionale Kernstandaarde.
• Inspekteer en gebruik toerusting professioneel om te verseker dat dit aan veiligheidsstandaarde voldoen.
• Ontwikkel protokolle om te verseker dat sonografiese dienste aan die vereiste voorskrifte voldoen.
• Neem deel aan ultraklankkwaliteitsversekeringsprogramme.
• Neem deel aan Volgehoue Professionele Ontwikkeling (CPD)-programme.
• Stel verslae en memo's soos in die werksomgewing vereis op.
• Bied hulp met ultraklankpasiëntbespreking.
• Voer ander pligte uit soos gedelegeer deur radiografiebestuur.

Medical Registrars - Training will take place at various sites for each discipline. Registrars may be required to spend time at various training institutions as required by the discipline. The site for the 1st year of training and subsequent rotations will be determined by the Academic Head of Discipline. Applicants are requested to apply separately for the disciplines of their interest. A maximum of three applications will be allowed which should be ranked in order of preference. One application for various Disciplines will not be accepted. Applications from applicants who are already appointed in the Registrar Programme will not be considered. As per HPCSA Regulations, the duration of Registrar training is 4/5 years, depending on the Discipline. All Registrars will be expected to register with the university for the MMED at own expense. All Registrars will be required to sign a contract which includes training and service responsibilities. Registrars will be required to complete Performance Agreements and assessments as stipulated by the Department. Appointments are subject to the signing of a contract which includes a service pay-back period. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments.
