Direkteurspos wat staatsbesitte plantasies en bosse regoor Limpopo en Mpumalanga bestuur, waarvoor 'n bosboukwalifikasie en vyf jaar bestuurservaring vereis word.

Vereistes

  • n Voorgraadse kwalifikasie in Bosbou of Natuurlike Hulpbronbestuur (NQF 7) of 'n tersaaklike kwalifikasie binne die verwante veld wat deur SAQA erken word. n Minimum van Vyf (5) jaar ervaring in Kommersiële Bosbou of verwante veld op middel-/seniorbestuursvlak binne die verwante veld.
  • Voltooiing van die Senior Management Pre-entry Programme soos onderskryf deur die National School of Government (NSG) moet voor aanstelling ingedien word.
  • Verder moet alle gekorte lys kandidate, insluitend die SMS, twee voor-toelating assessments onderneem.
  • Die een sal 'n praktiese oefening wees om 'n kandidaat se geskiktheid te bepaal op grond van die pos se tegniese en generiese vereistes en die ander moet 'n integriteit (etiese gedrag) assessering wees.
  • Kennis van tersaaklike beleide, wetgewing en raamwerke wat op Bosbou betrekking het, bv.
  • National Forests Act, 1998 (Act No 84 of 1998) (NFA) en die National Veld and Forest Fire Act, 1998 (Act No 101 of 1998) (NVFFA).
  • Kennis en begrip van alle tersaaklike wetgewing en regulasies wat die Openbare Diens regeer, insluitend Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) en tesourie-regulasies, Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act ens.
  • Kennis en begrip van Nasionale Prioriteite van regering, bv.
  • National Development Plan 2030, Commercial Forestry Sector Master Plan, Accelerated and shared growth Initiative South Africa.
  • Kennis en begrip van Silvikultuur en Oespraktyke in verband met volhoubare bestuur van biologiese bates.
  • Vaardighede: Program- en Projektbestuur, Finansiële Bestuur, Veranderingsbestuur, Kennisbestuur en Mensebestuur en Bemagtiging.
  • Vermoë om in moeilike situasies te onderhandel en konflik op te los.
  • Goeie interpersoonlike verwantskapsvaardighede.
  • Goeie Kommunikasievaardighede. 'n Geldige bestuurslisensie en bereidwilligheid om te reis.

  • Bestuur die staatsbesitte plantasies en implementeer die jaarlikse operasionele plan vir die plantasies.
  • Bestuur Staatsbosse, personeel en gepaardgaande bates.
  • Ontwikkel en implementeer Brandbestuursplanne, verseker die implementering van Volhoubare Bosbestuur in ooreenstemming met die National Forest Act en National Veld and Forest Fire Act.
  • Proaktiewe mitigering van ouditrisiko's, ontwikkel en implementeer ouditintervensies. Belanghebbende-skakeling.
  • Verskaf post-skikkingsteun en steun staatsboslandadministrasie en staatsboslandoordragprogramme.
  • Beplan en inisieer EPWP om as kragvermenigvuldiger vir kommersiële bosbouoperasies te dien.

Furthermore, Shortlisted candidates must provide proof of successful completion of the course. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Persons appointed will be subjected to a security clearance, the signing of performance agreement and employment contract. The Department reserves the right not to make an appointment.
