Oorsig

Inspekteur vir Beroepshigiëne in Welkom om mynoudits en inspeksies met betrekking tot beroepshigiëne-blootstellings en handhawingsaksies uit te voer.

Vereistes

• Nasionale Diploma in Beroepshigiëne of Omgewingsgesondheid (NQF6) plus Sertifikaat in Mynomgewingsbeheer met minimum 3 jaar se ondervinding in Beroepshigiëne en 'n bestuurslisensie;
• Kennis van: MynGesondheids- en Veiligheidswet Regulasies en wettige gevaaridentifikasie en risikobestuur, Openbare Diens Kode, DMPR Beleide;
• Vaardighede: Vermoë om MynGesondheids- en Veiligheidswet, DMPR Beleid en personeelkodes te interpreteer en toe te pas, bestuursvaardighede: Beplanning, Leiding, Organisering en beheer, verslagskrywing en formulering, goeie interpersoonlike verhoudinge;
• In staat wees om mynberoepsoplossings aan te beveel, onderhandelingvaardighede, taalvaardigheid en rekenaarvaardighede;
• Denkvereiste: Innoverende denker, Analiseer situasies sorgvuldig, maak billik en redelik.

Pligte

• Voer ondergrondse, skag- en oppervlakoudits en inspeksies uit en rapporteer daaroor oor aangeleenthede met betrekking tot beroepshigiëne-blootstellings, stresfaktore en ander aangeleenthede rakende mynberoepshigiëne en neem die nodige handhawingsaksie waar nodig.
• Ondersoek en rapporteer oor mynverwante ongelukke, oortredings en klagtes asook die ontleding van mynongelukke en tendense om hoë-risiko mynbewerkings te bepaal en neem toepaslike aksie.
• Dien op enige nodige eksamineerdersrade.
• Ondersoek, konsulteer en verskaf insette oor mynsluiting, prospekteerregte, mynregte en permitte, EMP's en dorpsontwikkeling.
• Verskaf insette tot streeksverslae, hersiening van mynregulasies, riglyne en standaarde en toepassing van vrystellings, toestemmings en goedkeurings verwant aan beroepshigiëne.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Shortlisted candidates will be assessed through practical exercise and an oral interview. Applicants must note that personnel suitability checks (PSC) will be conducted on the short-listed applicants, therefore will be required to give consent in terms of the POPI Act in order for the Department to conduct this exercise. PSC includes security screening and vetting, qualification verification, criminal records, financial records checks. Applicants who do not comply with the above-mentioned requirements, as well as application received after the closing date will not be considered.
