• Bepaal en lever oortuigende regsargumente aan 'n regter of magistrate.
• Lewer regsadvies in die departement.
• Ondersoek die toepaslikheid van regsbeginsels op regsadvies.
• Formuleer vrae wat oor regsadvies beantwoord moet word.
• Bestudeer en haal tersaaklike sake aan oor aspekte wat verband hou met regsadvies.
• Reageer op regsadvies-aspekte wat tydens openbare verhore en parlementêre sessies na vore kom.
