Streekshoofposisies wat gevangenisse, korrektiewe dienste en gesondheidsorgdienste oor die Free State/Northern Cape en Western Cape streke vir die Department of Correctional Services bestuur.

Vereistes

• 'n Voorgraadse kwalifikasie (NQF vlak 7) soos deur SAQA erken in Gedragswetenskap of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie. 'n Sertifikaat vir toelating tot die Senior Management Services (SMS) wat by die National School of Government (NSG) verkry is, is verpligtend (van alle aansoekers vereis voor aanstelling).
• Vyf (5) jaar se ondervinding op 'n middel-/seniorbestuursvlak. Veiligheidsklarering. Rekenaargeletterd.
• Geldige bestuurderlisensie.
• Vereiste Kennis: Kennis en begrip van die Suid-Afrikaanse Strafregtelike Stelsel en die Korrektiewe Dienste-argitektuur.
• Begrip van openbare diensbeleid en verwante wetgewende raamwerk (Public Service Act en regulasies, Public Finance Management Act, met klem op die Correctional Services Act 111 van 1998 soos gewysig).
• Bevoegdhede en Eienskappe: Strategiese vermoë en leierskap.
• Beleidontwikkeling, kommunikasie, projek- en programbestuur, transformasiebestuur, veranderingsbestuur, kliëntoriëntasie en kliëntfokus.
• Probleemoplossing en analise, diensleweringinnoviasie, besluitneming en finansiële bestuursvaardighede.
• Mensebestuur en bemagtiging.
• Integriteit, eerlikheid, vertroulikheid en interpersoonlike verhoudinge.
• Begrip van Openbare Diensbeleid en wetgewende raamwerk.
• Selfversekerdheid, vermoë om te netwerk, diplomasie, taktvol, beïnvloeding en impak.

Appointment under the Correctional Service Act Before you apply: All costs associated with an application will be borne by the applicant. Appointment to some of these posts will be provisional, pending the issue of a security clearance. If you cannot get a security clearance, your appointment will be re-considered/possibly terminated. Fingerprints will be taken on the day of the interview. All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by the department. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment (in compliance with the DPSA directive on the implementation of competency- based assessment). The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tool.
