Inspekteer en bestuur sprinkaanuitbrake in De Aar, voer bewaking, ekologiese risikobepalings en na-beheer impakevaluerings uit vir die Department of Agriculture.

Vereistes

• Aansoeker moet in besit wees van 'n Graad 12-sertifikaat en 'n Nasionale Diploma in Landbou/Omgewingsbestuur/Natuurbewaring/Plaagbestuur (NQF 6). 'n Minimum van twee (2) jaar relevante ervaring.
• Werksverwante kennis: Agricultural Pest Act, Natural Environmental Management Act, Natural Environmental Management Biodiversity Act.

• Bewaking, beoordeel, aktiveer en monitor sprinkaanuitbraak (beheer).
• Reageer op aangemelde sprinkaanuitbraak om dit te verifieer.
• Voer ekologiese risikobepaling in die gebied uit.
• Organiseer en beplan beheer.
• Inspeksie en monitering van beheereenhede.
• Voer na-beheer evaluasie (impakbepaling) uit.
• Identifiseer en doen aanbevelings vir navorsingsbehoeftes.
• Bestuur die berging van chemikalieë in die distrik se sprinkaangebiede.
• Bewaking, beoordeel, voer uit en monitor swartvlieguitbraak.
• Monitor en evalueer swartvlieg-larwe-populasie.
• Identifiseer die posisie van die stroomversnellings (beheerperseel).
• Dien proefneming toe om die dosiskoers vir elke stroomversnelling te bepaal ter voorbereiding van die beheerbedrywighede.
• Voer beheerbedrywigheid uit.
• Voer na-beheer monitering en evaluasie uit om die impak van die beheeraksie te bepaal.
• Identifiseer en doen aanbevelings vir navorsingsbehoeftes/uitdagings en oplossings.
• Bewaking, beoordeel, aktiveer en monitor quelea (voël) uitbraak.
• Reageer op uitbraakverslae vir verifikasie.
• Voer voor-inspeksie / evaluasie uit om die omvang van die uitbraak te bepaal.
• Voer die ekologiese risikobepaling van die gebied uit.
• Beplan, organiseer, koördineer en bestuur beheerbedrywighede.
• Voer na-beheer monitering vir remediesie/sanitêre aangeleenthede en evaluasie van die impak uit.
