  • Verskaf strategiese leierskap en toesig oor die sertifisering en opstel van Wetsontwerpe, insluitend die verskaffing van voorlopige regsmenings, sertifisering van wetgewing en regkundige adviesondersteuning dwarsdeur die parlementêre proses.
  • Hou toesig oor die ondersoek, opstel en sertifisering van ondergeskikte wetgewing en verskaf gesaghebbende regsmenings en adviesdienste aan regeringsdepartemente en ander staatsorgane.
  • Stuur die ondersoek van internasionale ooreenkomste om ooreenstemming met die Grondwet en binnelandse reg te verseker en hou toesig oor die verskaffing van regadvies rakende internasionale regverpligtinge.
  • Lei die strategiese bestuur en beheer van die Kantoor van die Hoofstaatsregadviseur deur effektiewe strategiese beplanning, operasionele prestasiemonitering, risikobestuur, oudit-nakoming, finansiële bestuur en hulpbronbenutting.
  • Hou toesig oor die vertaling en redigering van wetgewing en ander regsdokumente in die amptelike tale om wetgewingstoeganklikheid en grondwetlike nakoming te ondersteun.
  • Verskaf strategiese regsmenings oor kontrakte, regsdokumente, skikkinge en geskille wat deur regeringsdepartemente en staatsorgane verwys word.
  • Verseker deeglike beheer, mensebestuur, finansiële bewind, batebestuur, organisatoriese prestasie en nakoming van alle statutêre en regulatoriese voorskrifte binne die Kantoor van die Hoofstaatsregadviseur.
