Vereistes
- An NQF Level 8 in Law or as recognised by SAQA.
- Toelating as 'n Advokaat of Prokureur met verskyningreg in die Hooggeregshof van Suid-Afrika is essensieel. 'n Minimum van tien (10) jaar se ervaring op senior bestuursvlak.
- Uitgebreide ervaring in Litigasie en vorige ervaring van litigasie in hoëprofielsake sal 'n bykomende voordeel wees.
- Omvattende kennis van die State Attorney Act, die State Attorney Amendment Act, die State Liability Act, die Public Finance Management Act, die Public Service Act and Regulations, toepaslike Treasury Regulations en departementele voorskrifte.
- Uitgebreide kennis van litigasiebestuur, staatsregsdienste, organisatoriese en regeringsstrategie, finansiële bestuur, bestuur, organisatoriese verandering, openbare administrasie en openbaresektor regulerende raamwerke.
- Deeglike begrip van regeringsprioriteite, strategiese beplanning, organisatoriese leierskap en digitale litigasiebestuurstelsels.
- Vaardighede en Bevoegdhede: Uitsonderlike strategiese vermoë en leierskap met die vermoë om organisatoriese strategieë te ontwikkel en te implementeer, strategiese rigting te gee en hoë prestasie te inspireer.
- Agetoonde vermoë in program- en projektebestuur, finansiële bestuur, bestuur, organisatoriese transformasie en veranderingsbestuur.
- Sterk kennisbestuur, dienslewering innovasie, analitiese denke en probleemoplossingsvermoë.

- Hoë vlakke van professionaliteit, etiese leierskap, innovasie, aanspreeklikheid en toewyding aan openbare dienswaardes.
Pligte
- Verskaf strategiese leierskap, bestuursoor sig en nasionale koördinering van litigasie wat die Staat betref.
- Hou toesig oor en koördineer siviele litigasie oor alle Staatsprokureurskantore en stel nasionale litigasiestrategieë, bestuursraamwerke, norms en standaarde vas om konsekwente en doeltreffende regsverteenwoordiging van die Staat te verseker.
- Hou toesig oor die bestuur van voorwaardelike aanspreeklikhede en finansiële risiko's in ooreenstemming met die State Liability Act deur die implementering van litigasierisikobestuurstelsels, bestuursmaatreëls vir uitgawes en strategieë om litigasiekostes te verlaag.
- Monitor nakoming van hofbevele en die tenuitvoerlegging van vonnisse deur staatsorgane, stel meganismes op om implementering te monitor, en eskaleer stelselmatige nie-nakoming waar nodig.
- Neem die leiding met die ontwikkeling van nasionale litigasiebeleid, norms, richtlyne en regsvernuwing inisiatiewe, verskaf strategiese toesig oor grondwetlike en presedensskeppende litigasie, en ondersteun regsnavorsing en internasionale regsamewerking.
- Bevorder goeie bestuur, etiese gedrag, deursigtigheid en gevolgbestuur deur nakomingsmonitering, ondersoek van litigasiefaal en die implementering van regstellende maatreëls.
- Dryf die transformasie en professionalisering van litigasiedienste aan deur billike opdragpatrone te bevorder, die kapasiteit van Staatsprokureurskantore te versterk, die ontwikkeling van opkomende regspraktisyns te ondersteun en professionele standaarde en gehalteversekeringsstelsels te implementeer.
- Departement se Strategiese Plan, verseker goeie finansiële en menslikehulpbronbestuur, implementeer kennisbestuur en digitale litigasiestelsels, en monitor organisatoriese prestasie.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS positions will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) candidates will undergo psychometric assessment to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural, emotional intelligence and integrity. All suitable candidates will be subjected to mandatory pre-employment screening/ suitability checks/ verification (credit, criminal, citizenship, qualifications, employment pending disciplinary action and professional registration. Suitable candidates for Senior Management Service positions will also be required to successfully complete the online Nyukela Pre-entry Certificate to Senior Management Services course, which can be accessed via: http://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/.
