Daar word in verskeie KwaZulu-Natal kantore na immigrasiebeamptes gesoek om immigrasiewetgewing toe te pas, onwettige buitelanders op te spoor en aan te hou, en uitsettings te verwerk.
Vereistes
- 'n Voorgraadse kwalifikasie in Regte, Openbare Bestuur, Openbare Administrasie, Polisie Kriminologie, Forensies of Strafregreg by NQF level 6 soos deur SAQA erken, word vereis.
- Basiese begrip van die Refugees Act en Immigration Act.
- Basiese begrip van die Suid-Afrikaanse Grondwet.
- Basiese begrip van die Immigration Act.
- Basiese begrip van die Openbare Dienst Regulerende Raamwerk. 'n Geldige bestuurderslisensie (Code B/C1/C/ EC1).
- Geldige Public Driver Permit (PDP).
- Bereidwilligheid om buite die grense te reis en verlengde ure te werk Vereiste vaardighede en bevoegdhede: Skakeling en interpersoonlike vaardighede. Probleemoplossingsvaardighede. Klïentegerigtheid.
- Beplanning en Organisering.
- Sterk Analitiese Vaardighede. Rekenaarvaardigheid.
- Skriftelike en verbale kommunikasie. Diplomasie.
- Vaderlandsliewend, Eerlikheid en Integriteit.
Pligte
- Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal onder andere vir die volgende spesifieke take verantwoordelik wees: Doeltreffende toepassing van die Immigration Act 13 of 2002 soos gewysig en ander wetgewing.
- Opsporing, opsporing, aanhouding en vervolging van onwettige buitelanders binne die land.
- Verwerk die uitsetting van onwettige buitelanders uit die land na hul land van herkoms.
- Verskaf ondersteuning by wetstoepassingsondersoeke en korrupsiebestrydingsake.
- Voer inspeksies in loco met of sonder 'n lasbrief soos deur die wet toegelaat.
- Voer ondersoeke uit na enige oortredings van die Immigration Act, 2002, die Refugee Act, 1998 of ander departementele wetgewing.
- Moontlik maak die vervolging van oortredings van departementele wetgewing en die Criminal Procedure Act.
- Reeis kennisgewings om voor die Director–General te verskyn aan oortreders.
- Verwerk en lê getuienis voor in die hof en departementele sake.
- Reeis skuldige bevindings en boetes aan oortreders.
- Voer onderhoude en ondersoeke uit na buitelanders wat vermoedelik onwettig in die land is by die oortreders.
- Verwerk die aansoek en die verlenging van aanhoudingslasbriewe.
- Monitor die rekords van alle sake.
- Monitor die toestroming van buitelanders wat sonder wettige dokumentasie in die land woon.
- Implementeer toevallige sake en verseker die identiteit van onwettige buitelanders wat gearresteer, aangehou of skuldig bevind is.
- Voer arrestasies en uitsettings uit van onwettige buitelanders wat nie gewillig is om die land vrywillig te verlaat nie.
- Neem deel aan oefensessies wat gevorderde kennis en begrip in die opsporing van onwettige buitelanders in ooreenstemming met die Immigration Act.No13 of 2002 soos gewysig en die toepassing van departementele wetgewing sal moontlik maak.
- Verseker nakoming van die bepalings en voorwaardes van permitte.
- Neem deel aan die verwerking van onwettige buitelanders vir uitsetting na hul land van herkoms.
- Neem deel aan wetstoepassingsoperasies met ander veiligheidsklusteragentskappe.
- Verskaf kundige getuienis en verklarings om wetstoepassings- en misdaadbestrydingsondersoekpogings te ondersteun wat departementele getuienis vereis.
- Neem deel aan gereelde opleiding en persoonlike ontwikkeling om die take as 'n doeltreffende wetstoepassingsvreedsame beampte te kan uitvoer.
- Voer uitsettingsprosesse uit en hou rekords van buitelanders (wettig en onwettig) in die land.
- Bewaar, onderhou en bestuur staats eiendomme en bates.
- Implementeer beleide en prosedures in ooreenstemming met die goedgekeurde raamwerk.
- Monitor individuele hulpbronne (Fisies).

Applications must be submitted online at https://erecruitment.dha.gov.za sent to the correct address specified at the bottom of the posts, on or before the closing date, accompanied by a fully completed Application for Employment Form (New Z83, effective from 1 January 2021), obtainable at www.dpsa.gov.za, citing the correct post number and job title, and a comprehensive CV (citing the start and end date dd/mm/yy), job title, duties performed and exit reason for each employment period to be considered, as well as the details of at least two contactable employment references (as recent as possible), regardless of online or manual submission. All shortlisted candidates, including SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Shortlisted candidates will also be required to submit a copy of their ID document, a valid driver’s license (if specified as a job requirement), relevant educational qualifications / RPL certificates / Academic Transcripts of completed qualifications, and Acting letters as directed. Furthermore, applicants who possess (a) foreign qualification(s), are required to submit the evaluated results of such qualifications, as received from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA); for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity, will be subjected to an interview, various relevant tests and assessments, and employment suitability checks (credit, criminal, citizenship, qualifications, and employment references including verification of exit reasons, and conducting business with State). Once appointed, serving of a prescribed probation period, and obtaining of a security clearance appropriate to the post, will be required. Correspondence between the Department and candidates will be limited to shortlisted candidates, ONLY. The DHA is a merit-based, equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
