Die Kantoor van die Hoofregsoffisier soek 'n Senior Hofvertaler by die Bhisho Hooggeregshof om vertaaldiensste te verskaf oor verskeie regsprosedures.
Vereistes
- Aansoekers moet 'n Nasionale Diploma in Regsvertaling of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie op NQF vlak 6 met 360 krediete soos deur SAQA erken, hê. 'n Minimum van een (1) jaar se ervaring as 'n Hofvertaler, of 'n Graad twaalf (12) sertifikaat met ten minste tien (10) jaar se praktiese ervaring in Hofvertaling.
- Vaardigheid in Engels en isiXhosa.
- Vaardigheid in enige ander inheemse tale d.w.s. isiZulu, Afrikaans, Sesotho of Setswana en 'n geldige bestuurslisensie sal as 'n bykomende voordeel dien.
- Alle kortlys-kandidate sal 'n voor-toetrede praktiese oefening onderneem as deel van die asseseringsmetode om die kandidaat se geskiktheid te bepaal op grond van die pos se tegniese en algemene vereistes.
- Kennis en vaardighede: Kennis van relevante wette en regulasies, kennis van kultuur, kennis van onderwerpsgebied, kennis oor hoe om te vertaal en in staat wees om tydraamwerk na te kom, rekenaargeletterdheid (MS Office), effektiewe kommunikasievaardighede (skriftelik en mondeling), tydbestuur, goeie interpersoonlike verhoudingsvaardighede, luistervaardighede, kliëntediensvaardighede, probleemoplossingsvaardighede, beplannings- en organisatoriese vaardighede, besluitnemingsvaardighede.
- Analitiese denke, uitstekende Engelse taal, buigsaam, motiverend, in staat om onder druk te werk, noukeurig, selfgedrewe en mensegerig.
Pligte
- Lewer vertaaldiensste: Vertaal in Kinderwet-sake, strafregtelike verrigtinge, siviele verrigtinge, Wet op Huishoudelike Geweld-sake, Wet op Bejaardes-sake, Gesin, Wet op Beskerming teen Teistering-sake, Arbeid, Onderhoudswet-sake, Kinderjustisie-sake, lykskouings, en kwasi-geregtelike sake, vertaal in kleinvorderingshowe, vertaal in dissiplinêre verhore, vertaal in Versoening en Arbitrasie, vertaal in belydenis.
- Vertaal in verhoorvooraf-verrigtinge en konsultasies, skakel met die toesighouer vir vreemdetaalse vertalers, vertaal van brontaal na doeltaal gedurende Hofverrigtinge, verhoorvooraf, konsultasie, kwasi, geregtelik.
- Vertaal nie-verbale gebare, dramatisering en belydenisse, raadpleeg die regbank om te beraadslaag oor die gereedheid en/of prestasie van 'n spesifieke vertaler in die Hof, lewer regs- en kwasi-geregtelike en taaldiens: Lewer hoorbare en duidelike vertaling van brontaal na doeltaal sonder versiering of weglatings terwyl die taal behou word, dra die korrekte taal ooreenkomstig die taalgebruik van die spreker oor, beheer die spreker en verseker dat die aanhalings korrek vertaal word, vertaal nie-verbale gebare dramatisering en belydenisse, vertaal regsdokumente en uitstallings: Bestudeer en ontleed die brondokument, voer die nodige navorsing uit en raadpleeg die relevante partye, verseker akkurate aanhalingvertaalde dokumente, kontroleer, redigeer en hersien die vertaalde dokument, vertaal meganies opgeneemde oudiomateriaal.
- Ontwikkel terminologie en verskaf ondersteuning in die rekonstruksie van rekords: Akkumuleer terminologie en ontwikkel databasis, vul die terme en onderskeie betekenis in die glossariumregister in, versamel alle verhoordokumente, attendeer aan meganiese opnames, vergelyk notas van die Presiderende Beampte, Staat en Verdediging.

The Organisation will give preference to candidates in line with the Employment Equity goals.
