Bestuur en koördineer die ontwerp en implementering van uitsaaitegnologie-programme en -strategieë binne die Department of Communications and Digital Technologies.
Vereistes
- 'n Voorgraadse kwalifikasie (NQF vlak 7) in Broadcasting / Telecommunications/ ICT/ Engineering/ Communication and Media studies of 'n gelykwaardige tersaaklike veld, soos erken deur die South African Qualifications Authority. 'n Minimum van drie (3) jaar se ervaring in 'n Broadcasting / Telecommunications/ ICT/ Engineering tersaaklike omgewing op Assistant Director-vlak / middelbestuur.

Pligte
- Om die ontwerp en implementering van uitsaaitegnologie-programme en -strategieë te bestuur en te koördineer ter ondersteuning van die bereiking van die DCDT se strategiese doelwitte.
- Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal: Tegniese insigte lewer tot die ontwikkeling van uitsaaitegnologie-programme, -strategieë en -planne.
- Die beplanning en implementering van nasionale uitsaai-infrastruktuurprojekte koördineer.
- Die implementering van Suid-Afrika se digitale migrasiestrategie van analoog na digitale uitsending koördineer en die doeltreffende gebruik van uitsaaispektrum bestuur om diensgehalte te verbeter en toegang te vergroot.
- Ondersteuning bied met die ontwikkeling en hersiening van beleid, regulasies en tegniese standaarde wat uitsaaidienste en -tegnologieë regeer, om sodoende belyning met nasionale en internasionale uitsairaamwerke te verseker.
- Inisiatiewe ondersteun vir die aanvaarding en integrasie van nuwe uitsaaitegnologieë, soos IPTV, OTT (Over-the-Top)-dienste en 5G-uitsending, om innovasie en modernisering in die sektor te dryf.
- Saamwerk met bedryfsk belanghebbendes, waaronder openbare en privaat uitsenders, inhoudskeppers, regulerende liggame (ICASA) en internasionale uitsaaigroepe, om vennootskappe te bevorder en uitsaai-infrastruktuurontwikkeling te dryf.
- Toezighoudende monitering uitvoer op die implementering van projekte en programme binne die direktoraat uitsaai-infrastruktuur.
- Benewens bogenoemde, vereis die kernresultaatgebiede ook: Projekbestuur, bestuur van finansiële hulpbronne, dryf van verandering en operasionele uitnemendheid, en bestuur van nakoming.

Applications must be submitted with two (2) attachments: 1. A Z83 Form (2021 version), obtainable from the DPSA website (Z83 editable) and 2. A recently updated comprehensive Curriculum Vitae. Due to the anticipated large volume of responses, correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only. All shortlisted candidates shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other will be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. After the pre-entry assessments, an oral interview will be conducted. Suitable candidates will be subjected to personnel suitability checks (criminal record, citizenship, credit record checks, qualification verification and employment verification). By responding to the advertisement, applicants consent to the collection, processing and storing of their Personal Information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) Act No. 4 of 2013. Candidates will therefore be required to give consent in terms of the POPI Act in order for the Department to conduct the verifications.
