Vereistes
- 'n Relevante driejarige Nasionale Diploma/LLB (Baccalaureus in Regswetenskappe) of ekwivalente kwalifikasie (minstens 360 kredite), met minimum van 3–5 jaar se ondervinding in 'n Regsomgewing waarvan 2 jaar toesig-/juniorleidingservaring.
- Rekenaargeletterdheid wat werkkennis van Ms Office-produkte insluit.
- Kennis van die Grondwet, Siviele prosedure, administratiefreg en kontrakreg.
- Begrip van die Wet op Openbare Finansiële Bestuur (PFMA), Skatkisverhoudings.
- Kennis van die Pensioenfondindustrie.
- Kennis van GEPF Fondsreëls.

Pligte
- Die titelhouer sal verantwoordelik wees vir 'n wye verskeidenheid van take wat onder meer die volgende insluit: Verskaf Regsadministrasiedienste.
- Bystaan in die lewering van regsadvisering, leiding en opinies aan die topbestuur en GPAA oor sake wat verband hou met wetgewingskraging en ander regsaangeleenthede.
- Gaan dokumente deur en eskaleer waar nodig na seniors.
- Gaan 'n verskeidenheid regsdokumente deur en lewer kommentaar om seker te maak dat hulle regsgeldig is.
- Beheer regsaangeleenthede doeltreffend vir die departement.
- Monitor en handhaaf naleving van sleutelnorme (bv.
- PFMA, PAJA, PAIA, POPIA).
- Bystaan in die beoordeling en formulering van interne beleide. Litigasiebestuur.
- Toesig oor GPAA se litigasieportefeulje.
- Trek regsbepleiting op en beoordeel dit, gee opdragte aan en korrespondeer met die Staatsadvokaat of eksterne raadsman, en berei getuies voor vir verhore.
- Diariseer geplande verhore en sorg dat hofprosesse bygewoon word.
- Versamel inligting en dokumentasie soos benodig om sake voort te sit wat na Regs verwys word met betrekking tot die uitlegging van GEP-wet, 1996.
- Verduidelik aan aansoekeraars die proses vir indiening van egskeiding, lewensmaatskap en ander relevante vorderinge ingevolge GEP-wet, 1996.
- Doen navorsing in vrae, regstelling van foute, oplos van diskrepansies en stel aansoekeraars in kennis van aksiebesluitte wat geneem is.
- Doen navorsing in wette, reglemente, beleide en voorafgaande beslissings om voorbereiding vir verhore voor te berei, en om navrae van saakbestuurders en toesighouers te beantwoord.
- Berei, stel saam en kontroleer materiale vir elke verhore-sessie/twisoplossingsproses.
- Dien 'n verslag in oor beslissings en aanbevelings.
- Ondersoek saakrekords en amptelike lêers en sorg dat alle dokumente en bewyse volledig in die rekord gedokumenteer is.
- Voer regsnavorsing uit om alle regsargumente volledig aan te spreek.
- Bestuur dat alle panellede vorderingsvorme vir hul honoraria invul.
- Berei opdragte vir administrasie voor met betrekking tot hofopdrag.
- Woon 'n kostebegroting en appèl by wat uit die Hooggeregshof voortvloei.
- Lewer Administrasiesteun.
- Gee aandag aan hofprosesse wat op die GPAA beteken is en enige ander vorderinge wat ingevolge GEP-wet, 1996 ingedien is.
- Stel skriftelike beoordeling saam en evalueer data oor dokumente soos vorderingsaansoeke, geboorte- of sterftesertifikate en/of werkgewersrekords.
- Hou verhoredokumente, rooster, verhordatums en bevestig verhore.
- Naleving van hofbeslissings met skriftelike opdragte aan ondergeskiktes om hofbeslissings na te kom.
- Bestuur dat lêers gehou en opgedateer word oor statistieke-rekords van hofsakke.
- Stel memoranda en uitkaste van beslissings op tyd saam om vereistes te nakom.
- Bystaan die toesighouer met opleiding in wetgewing en wetgewingskraging, asook ander regsonderwerpe.
- Beoordeling van gelitigeerde vorderinge of vorderinge met dispute (Belanghebbersterverhoudinge).
- Spreek persone of organisasies wat by sake betrokke is, aan om relevante inligting te verkry.
- Verduidelik aan eisers hoe hulle uitsprake wat teen hulle ingaan, kan betwis.
- Stel voorleggings en opdragte vir aanbevelings saam.
- Korrespondeer met interne sakeeenhede, eksterne praktisyns in die reg, regeringsamptenare en ander reguleringsorgane om dispute op te los.
- Toesig oor personeel.
- Wys werk toe volgens vaardighede en bevoegdhede.
- Bestuur personeelprestasie.
- Ontwikkel, train en begelei personeel.
- Handhaaf Dissipline.
- Verskaf maandelikse statistieke.
- Sorg dat ondergeskiktes ingelig word oor veranderings in werkomgewing of bestuursbesluite.

Effective from 19 June 2026, the GPAA now utilises an e-Recruitment System which means all applicants must login/register to apply for positions, we only accept e-Recruitment online applications. The applicant’s profile on the e Recruitment is equivalent to the newly approved Z83, and it is the responsibility of applicants to ensure their profiles are fully completed or their applications will not be considered, as per the DPSA Practice Note. Certain documentation will still be required to be uploaded on the system such as copies of all qualifications including National Senior Certificate/Matric certificate, ID, etc., however these documents need not be certified at point of application, however certification will be required prior to attending the interview. The candidate must agree to the following: Shortlisted candidates must avail themselves for a virtual or in-person panel interview at a date and time determined by the GPAA. Please note: All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. It should be noted that the GPAA does not support the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in any of its recruitment and selection processes and will disqualify an application if it picks up the use of AI when completing assessments without acknowledging the source of information. Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government, available as an online course on https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/, prior to finalisation of appointment, is a requirement for all SMS positions. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Applicants must note that pre-employment checks and references will be conducted once they are short-listed and the appointment is also subject to a positive outcome on these checks, which include but not limited to: security clearance, security vetting, qualification/study verification, citizenship verification, financial/asset record check, previous employment verification and criminal record.
