Omgewingsbeampte wat watergebruiksmagtigings verwerk en inspeksies en ondersoeke vir naleving uitvoer.

Vereistes

• Nasionale Diploma of Graad in Natuurwetenskappe.
• Minstens drie (3) jaar werkservarring in die veld sal as 'n addisionele voordeel dien.
• Die voorlegging van 'n geldige onvervalle bestuurslisensie.
• Watergebruiksondersoek en inspeksies.
• Steekproefnemingsprosedures, Verslae skryf.
• Deeglike kennis van geïntegreerde waterbronnebeheer en watergebruiksmagtigings.
• Kennis en begrip van die watersektor: relevante wettekste (NWA, CARA en NEMA, MPRDA) tesame met die verwante regulasies en prosedures.
• Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede insluitend mondelings, verslae skryf, aanbieding.
• Deeglike interpersoonlike vaardighede asook die vermoë om in 'n multidissiplinêre span te werk.
• Bereidwilligheid om abnormale ure en onder druk te werk asook uitvoerig te reis.
• Bewese verbindings- en netwerkvaardighede, veral soos dit betrekking het op belanghebberdebetrokkenheid.

Pligte

• Verwerking van watergebruiksmagtigings en uitvoering van watergebruiks- en terreinspeksies, ondersoeke en wetstoepassing.
• Uitvoering van kriminele ondersoek na nie-naleving van toepassingswettekste.
• Liaise met kliënte en ander belanghebbers om uitstaande inligting tydens watergebruiksmagtigingsbeoordelings te verkry.
• Versoek van wetenskaplike insette binne die Departement met behulp van die gespesifiseerde sjablone.
• Toegang tot en evaluering van Hidrologiese en Omgewingsinligting met betrekking tot magtigingstoepassings.
• Finale beoordeling van inligting voorgelê deur Watergebruiklisensieaansolicitante en insette van interne spesialiste.
• Opstelling van verslag van aanbevelings (RoRs) en gevolglike besluitdokumente.
• Opstel van lisensievoorwaardes om die negatiewe gevolge van watergebruik te beheer/versag.
• Opmerking oor EIA's, BAR's en ander Omgewingsverslae.
• Bystand met die beantwoording van navrae van kliënte binne en buite die departement.
• Uitvoering van alle administratiewe en verwante funksies.

Candidates may be required to complete a practical and theoretical test. Please be advised that the office will transition to a SANWRI agency. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. A pre-entry certificate obtained from the National School of government is required prior to the appointment. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
