Umsebenzi

• Lembula umthetho wesifundazwe, izinqubomgomo, izindlela namaphulani efreyithi yohlelo lwesitimela, lolwandle namasonto, ireyithi yezimoto, izindawo zokuhlanganisa izinhlobo ezahlukene zokuhamba, kanye nendiza namayizi anamafutha kanye ne-Directorate Transport Policy and Strategy.
• Lembula izakhiwo, imihlahlandlela, amanani namazinga okuhlela futhi uphathe ireyithi ehlanganisa izinhlobo ezahlukene zokuhamba.
• Yenza izifundo zobuchwepheshe, ukuhlola ukuzenzakalela, ucwaningo, amacala ebhizinisi, namaphulani ebhizinisi kuzo zonke izinhlobo zefreyithi.
• Hlola umthelela womthetho, izinqubomgomo, izindlela, amaphroghramu, namaphrojekthi ehlanyelwe ireyithi.
• Siza futhi uthuthukise izinsiza zefreyithi e-Western Cape, kuzo zonke izinhlobo zokuhamba ngokusebenzisa amadokhumenti asemqoka evisi, okuhlanganisa i-Provincial Freight Strategy, Freight Implementation Programme (FIP), kanye ne-Provincial Land Transport Framework (PLTF), i-Freight Rail Revitalisation Framework (FRRF);
• Phatha idatha yefreyithi futhi qinisekisa ukuthuthukiswa kwezinhlelo zolwazi lwefreyithi, ukuqondaniswa okwedijithali nokuhlanganiswa kuzo zonke izinhlobo zefreyithi ngokusebenzisa izinkundla ezifana ne-Western Cape Freight Demand Model, Freight Management System kanye ne-Integrated Transport Hub.
• Phatha ulwazi (idatha nolwazi) ngokusebenzisa amathuluzi nobuchwepheshe ukwazisa ukuthathwa kwezinqumo emsebenzini kahulumeni; lulungelelanise imibiko; uthuthukise ukulethwa kwezinsiza; useke ukubonakala; useke ukuhlanganiswa/ukusebenzisana phakathi kweminyango nasemazingeni ahlukene kahulumeni.
• Mela isifundazwe ekubambisweni nabalawuli abaphakeme bafreyithi blikahulumene nabangingaphandle, ukukhuthaza ukuqondana nokutshalwa kwezimali kuzinhlelo zefreyithi kuzo zonke izinhlobo zokuhamba.
• Qinisekisa ukubambisana nokusebenzisana nabandabanda bebizinisi, izinhlangano zabahulumene nasezinkantolo zabantu bomphakathi ukuze uhlole, uthuthukise, futhi uphule izinhlelo zefreyithi kuzo zonke izinhlobo zokuhamba.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme (Nyukela) and submit the certificate before he/she can be appointed to this post. The purpose of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme, which is a public service specific training programme applicable to all applicants who aspire to join the SMS, is to ensure that potential SMS members have a background in processes and procedures linked to the SMS. The successful candidate shall be subjected to a leadership assessment, within one (1) month of appointment, to assess the managerial competencies required for SMS members in the Public Service as specified under Chapter Five (5) of the SMS handbook. This assessment shall be conducted to determine an individual’s ability to lead, manage, and direct others and to identify developmental gaps in core generic leadership and management competencies. The successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment contract and a performance agreement. The successful candidate will be subject to security vetting; and the candidate will have to disclose her/his financial interests.
