Supply Chain Management Clerk: Acquisition and Contract

Overview
Supply Chain Management Clerk providing acquisition and contract clerical support services for the Western Cape Mobility Department.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
- Competencies: Basic knowledge of the following: Supply Chain Management duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics;
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service;
- Work procedures in terms of the working environment; insight of the Public Service financial legislations, processes and procedures, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions;
- Basic operating systems such as Personnel and Salary System (PERSAL), Basic Accounting System (BAS), Logistical Information System (LOGIS).
- Skills in the following: Good Verbal and Written Communication;
- Planning and Organising;
- Customer Care;. Reporting;. Problem-solving;
- Creative Thinking;
- Decision Making;
- Willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to work under pressure.
Duties
- Render acquisition clerical support services;
- Render clerical support with the coordination, review and compilation of a list of prospective providers for quotations;
- Render clerical support with the coordination, review and source of quotations from database according to the threshold values determined by National Treasury;
- Provide personnel administration and clerical support services within the component.
