Overview
Assistant Director for Strategic Management Support at Provincial Treasury, Western Cape, coordinating strategic planning and performance reporting processes.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or equivalent or higher qualification);
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Competencies: Knowledge of the following: government strategic planning, monitoring, reporting, processes; departmental operation; policies of the government of the day; with specific reference to the provincial growth and development strategy of the Western Cape; global, regional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape; experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line function; understanding of project management; understanding of policy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes; understanding of public finance, human resources and discourse management processes; and understanding of performance management in general.
Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate the Departmental participation in developing strategic and operational planning processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Department's performance and reporting processes.
- Coordinate and compile the departmental service delivery improvement initiatives, including DPSA and Public Service Commission compliance.
- Managerial Functions: Operational management;
- People Management.
