Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management

Overview

Administration clerk needed for supply chain management duties including demand and acquisition management, audit compliance and SCM evaluations within the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.
  • Experience: Appropriate experience.
  • Inherent requirement of the job: Valid driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes, PFMA and AOS.
  • Knowledge of LOGIS and EPS.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written).

Duties

  • Demand and acquisition management of goods and services.
  • Assist with the preparation of inputs for the annual financial statements (AFS) and ensuring audit compliance.
  • Advertising requests on the EPS and conducting SCM evaluations according to SCM prescripts.
  • Prepare batches, draft minutes for QC and vetting committee.
  • Placing of orders with suppliers and maintaining accurate filing systems.
  • Address supplier and user queries.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Perform assisting and relief duties within SCM component.
