Overview

Transport Clerk needed in Pietermaritzburg to coordinate pool vehicles, monitor usage and verify log sheets, requiring a Grade 12 certificate and valid driver's licence.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent with no previous experience required and a valid Drivers Licence.
  • Essential Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have: Administrative process;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Planning and Organising skills;
  • Interpersonal relations; flexibility; teamwork;
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written) with other Government Departments, Private Sector, Staff, Municipalities; computer literacy and driving skills.

Duties

  • The successful candidate will be required to render an efficient and effective general administration support services with the following key responsibilities: Coordinate the allocation pool vehicles, maintain pool vehicles;
  • Monitor and report on vehicle usage;
  • Verify log sheets and reconcile;
  • Provide administrative support services.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
