Personal Assistant: Immovable Asset Management
Department of Infrastructure
Overview
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the manager in immovable asset management, including reception duties, meeting support and budget administration.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in rendering secretarial/ administrative support services to management/ senior management;
- A valid (Code B or higher) driving license.
- NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
- Competencies: Knowledge of the following: General Support;
- Financial Support;
- Record keeping;
- Relevant policies and procedures.
- Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Communication skills (written and verbal);
- Good interpersonal and decision-making skills;
- Planning and Organising;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Provide a secretarial/ receptionist support service to the manager;
- Render administrative support services;
- Provide support to the manager regarding meetings;
- Support the manager with the administration of the manager’s budget;
- Studies the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/ policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.
