Overview
Database Administrator role in the Department of Roads and Transport's ICT Governance unit in Johannesburg, requiring a National Diploma or Degree in ICT and 2-3 years of database experience.
Duties
- Design and develop database Develop scripting and optimize performance Maintain Databases using Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) 2016 and latest versions of Microsoft SQL Manage workload and ensure high availability; disaster recovery Develop and maintain data documentation Provide ICT technical support Prepare design specifications.
- Design and create database systems based on business requirements.
- Develop database schemas, tables and data dictionaries.
- Gather and analyses requests pertaining to layout and special features of a database.
- Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
