Overview
Accounting Clerk position in Western Cape managing financial data, compliance and reporting.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).
- Competencies: A good understanding of the following: Financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics;
- Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, (DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual);
- Financial operating systems (PERSAL (Personnel Administration), BAS (Basic Accounting System), LOGIS (Logistical Information System)).
- Skills needed: Written and verbal communication;
- Proven computer literacy;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- DUTIES Receive salary advice;
- Capture all deductions;
- Basic Tax;
- Process invoices (capture payments);
- Clear suspense accounts;
- Compile journals and Filing of all documents.
