Vereistes

• n Relevante NQF vlak 4-kwalifikasie (Senior/Grade 12-sertifikaat) in Wiskundige geletterdheid of 'n sterk wiskundige agtergrond is noodsaaklik.
• Interne Department of Water and Sanitation met waterbeheerkursusse sal as 'n bykomende voordeel dien.
• Vyf (5) jaar se praktiese ondervinding in waterbeheer of verwante funksies.
• Die openbaarmaking van 'n geldige, onverstreke bestuurderslisensie.
• Goeie kommunikasievaardighede (sowel mondeling as skriftelik) Interpersoonlike vaardighede.
• Kennis oor die beheer en bestuur van waterverspreiding vir alle Regeringswaterskemas, Staatsdamme, Besproeiingsrade, Watergebruikverenigings, Kanale en Riviere binne die provinsiale bestuursbedrywighede en trosse.
• Kennis oor die implementering van waterverwante beleid.
• Kennis van die finansiële bestuurswet en menslike hulpbronne.
• Kennis en implementering van die OHS-wet.
• Monitering en evalueringsbeginsels.
• Kennis oor die ondersteuning van waterbenutting en waterhulpbronstrategie.
• Kennis van droogte- en vloedbestuur.
• Begrip van regeringswetgewing.
• Kennis van klagte- en dissiplinêre prosedures.
• Kennis oor die monitering en rapportering van waterbesoedeling en uitheemse plantegroei.
• Kennis van basiese siviele, meganiese en elektriese onderhoud.
• Uitgebreide reis en die uitvoer van pligte weg van die kantoor vir tydperke gelyk.

Pligte

• Behulpzaam wees met die beheer van die oopmaak en toemaak van sluisies volgens rooster.
• Rekords van alle inligting sowel as meterlesings vir doeleindes van korrekte fakturering hou.
• Pligte vir ondergeskiktes beplan en prioritiseer.
• Waterverspreiding daagliks volgens regulasies beheer.
• Klein onderhoud aan strukture, damme, heinings en sluisies uitvoer. 'n Vrywingsverslag vir die skema opstel. 'n Vloedwaarskuwingslys van alle watergebruikers/kliente opstel en vloedbeheer doen.
• Vorderingsverslag ten opsigte van take voorlê.
• Versameling en veilige bewaring van toerusting en daaglikse voorraad.
• Tydregister en verlofvorms beheer.
• Roetine-daminspesies van hidrologiese data insluitend watermeterlesings.
• Behulpzaam wees met Gesondheids- en Veiligheidsregulasies op die skema.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
