Vereistes

• 'n Nasionale Diploma in Siviele Ingenieurswese.

• Ervaring in projekbestuur.
• Tegniese ontwerp en analise van hidrologiese data.
• Kennis en ervaring in rekenaargesteunde ingenieurstoepassings.
• Tegniese verslagskrywing en tegniese raadgewingsvaardighede.
• Probleemoplossing, analise, besluitneming en spanwerkvaardighede.
• Kreatiwiteit, kliëntfokus en reaksievermoë.
• Goeie beplanning, organisasie en mensebestuur.
• Uitgebreide reis soos en wanneer benodig.

Pligte

• Stroommeting met behulp van ADP en konvensionele stroommetingsmetodes.
• Opmeting van meetdamme en vloed (gegradeerde) seksies met behulp van die waterpasinstrument.
• Voorbereiding van tekeninge met behulp van CAD-sagteware.
• Kalibrering van vloeimetingsstasies.
• Inspeksiebeplanning van instandhouding van oppervlakwatermetingsstasies binne die area van verantwoordelikheid.
• Instandhouding van elektroniese dataregistreringsinstrumente.
• Toesig oor personeel.
• Redigering en verwerking van hidrologiese data.
• Voorbereiding van tegniese spesifikasies vir die verkryging van die benodigde hulpbronne.
• Versameling van alle vorme van hidrologiese data binne die area van verantwoordelikheid en samestelling van verslae.
• Verskaf tegniese ondersteuning aan versoeke wat van belanghebbendes ontvang word.
• Verseker nakoming van die Wet op Beroepsveiligheid en Gesondheid in ooreenstemming met statutêre en regulatoriese vereistes.
• Neem deel aan navorsings- en ontwikkelingsaktiwiteite vir voortdurende professionele ontwikkeling om tred te hou met nuwe tegnologieë en prosedures.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
