Vereistes

• Minimum opvoedkundige kwalifikasie: Kwalifikasie wat registrasie by die South African Nursing Council (SANC) as 'n Ingeskrewe Verpleegassistent moontlik maak.
• Registrasie by 'n professionele raad: Registrasie by SANC as Verpleegassistent.
• Ervaring: Vlak 1: Geen.
• Vlak 2: 'n Minimum van 10 jaar se toepaslike / herkenbare verpleegervaring na registrasie by die SANC as 'n Verpleegassistent.
• Vlak 3: 'n Minimum van 20 jaar se toepaslike / herkenbare verpleegervaring na registrasie by die SANC as 'n Verpleegassistent.
• Inherent vereistes van die werk: Bereidwilligheid om skofte te werk, openbare vakansiedae, na ure, nagdiens en naweke.
• Moet bereid wees om in alle departemente te help volgens operasionele behoeftes.
• Bereidwilligheid om oortyd te werk wanneer nodig.
• Vermoë om onder druk te werk.
• Bevoegdhede (kennis/vaardighede): Rekenaarvaardigheid (MS Office en Outlook).
• Basiese verpleegsorgbeginsels en -prosedures.
• Kennis van relevante wetgewing en beleide van die Department of Health Western Cape.
• Vaardighede om doeltreffend mondelings en skriftelik te kommunikeer, binne die multidissiplinêre span te funksioneer en op die vlak van die pos te fasiliteer.

Pligte

• Verskaffing van basiese verpleegsorg deur pasiënte te help met aktiwiteite van daaglikse lewe (fisiese sorg).
• Verseker implementering van basiese verpleegsorgplanne en doeltreffende kommunikasie.
• Doeltreffende benutting van hulpbronne.
• Bevordering van QA, IPC EN OHS binne die departement.
• Handhaaf professionele praktyk en etiese gedrag en selfontwikkeling.
