Vereistes

• Nasionale Diploma in Siviele Ingenieurswese.
• Ses (6) jaar na kwalifikasie in tegniese Ingenieurswese-ervaring.
• Verpligte registrasie by die Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as 'n Ingenieurstechnikus.
• Die openbaarmaking van 'n geldige, nie-verstrykte bestuurderslisensie.
• Kennis van tegniese ontwerp en analise van hidrologiese infrastruktuur en/of waterbroninfrastruktuur.
• Kennis van hidrologiese databestuur.
• Begrip van navorsing en ontwikkeling.
• Kennis en ervaring in rekenaargesteunde ingenieurstoepassings.
• Kennis van regsonderhoud en projekbestuur.
• Tegniese verslagskrywing.
• Goeie kommunikasievaardighede beide (mondeling en skriftelik), konflikbestuur en onderhandelingsvaardighede.
• Probleemoplossing en analise, besluitneming, spanwerk, kreatiwiteit, finansiële bestuur, mensebestuur, klantfokus, reaksievermoë, beplanning en organisering.

Pligte

• Bestuur tegniese dienste en ondersteuning in samewerking met Ingenieurs, Tegnoloë en medewerkers in die veld, werkswinkel, en tegniese hidrologiese aktiwiteite.
• Verseker die bevordering van veiligheid in ooreenstemming met statutêre en regulasievereistes.
• Evalueer bestaande tegniese handleidings, standaardtekeninge, en prosedures om nuwe tegnologie in te sluit.
• Verseker gehaldeborging van tegniese ontwerpe met spesifikasies en magtig/maak aanbevelings vir goedkeuring deur die betrokke gesag.
• Bestuur administratiewe, menslike hulpbron en verwante funksies.
• Verskaf insette in die begrotingsproses, operasionele plan, aanbestedingsplan en verwante aangeleenthede.
• Stel verslae op en dien dit in soos vereis.
• Anders Risiko- en Rampbestuursaangeleenthede.
• Navorsing en ontwikkeling deur deurlopende professionele ontwikkeling om tred te hou met nuwe tegnologieë en prosedures.
• Verskaf mentorskap en toesig van personeel.
• Navorsing/literatuurstudies oor tegniese ingenieurstegnologie om kundigheid te verbeter.
• Skakel met relevante liggame/raade oor ingenieurswegerigte aangeleenthede.
• Moet bereid wees om weg van die kantoor te werk en uitgebreid vir lang tydperke te reis.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
