Vereistes

• Graad 12 (Senior Sertifikaat) of gelykwaardig.
• Registrasie by die South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as 'n Apothekersassistent (Post Basic).
• Huidige registrasie by die South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) Graad1: Ervaring: Geen ervaring Graad 2: Ervaring: 'n Minimum van 5 jaar toepaslike/erkenbare ervaring as 'n Apothekersassistent (Post Basic) na registrasie by die South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as 'n Apothekersassistent (Post Basic) Ervaring: 'n Minimum van 12 jaar toepaslike /erkenbare ervaring Apothekersassistent (Post Basic) na registrasie by die South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as 'n Apothekersassistent (Post Basic) Kennis, Vaardighede, Opleiding En Bevoegdhede Vereis Kennis van die Pharmacy Act en Good Pharmacy Practice.
• Kennis van farmaseutiese wetgewing en beleide.
• Begrip van medisynevoorsieningsbestuur.
• Kennis van voorraadbeheer.
• Goeie kommunikasie en interpersoonlike vaardighede. Rekenaarvaardigheid.
• Vermoë om vertroulikheid te handhaaf.
• Probleemoplossing en verslaginskryfvaardighede.

Pligte

• Bystand verleen in die voorsiening van 'n doeltreffende farmaseutiese diens onder toesig van 'n apoteker.
• Medisyne uitdeel volgens goedgekeurde Standard Operating Procedures en binne die omvang van praktyk van 'n Apothekersassistent (Post Basic) Farmaseutiese voorraad ontvang, stoor, uitreik en beheer.
• Voorraadtellings uitvoer en help met voorraadbestuur.
• Medisyne verpak en versprei na saale, klinieke en departement.
• Akkurate farmaseutiese rekords en dokumentasie byhou.
• Nakoming van Good Pharmacy Practice en farmaseutiese wetgewing verseker.
• Deelneem aan gehalteverbeteringsprogramme en medisynebestuursinisiatiewe.
• Skoonmaak en organisering van die apteek se stoorareas handhaaf.
• Medisyne-inligting verskaf aan gesondheidsorgprofessionele persone en pasiënte binne die omvang van praktyk.
• Enige ander pligte uitvoer wat deur die Pharmacy Manager of toesighoudende apoteker gedelegeer word.
