Assesseer aansoeke vir watergebruiklisensies en voer terreinbesoeke uit vir die Department of Water and Sanitation in Bloemfontein en Kimberley.
Vereistes
- Nasionale Diploma in Omgewingsbestuur of Natuurwetenskap in enige een (1) van die volgende velde: Landbou, Landbou-geïntegreerde Waterhulpbronbestuur, Hidrologie (Oppervlak of Grond);
- Chemie, Biochemie, Mikrobiologie, Waterbenutting, Waterhulpbroningenieurswese en of Geohidrologie.
- Die openbaarmaking van 'n geldige, nie-verstreke bestuurderslisensie.
- Twee (2) jaar toepaslike / herkenbare ervaring in 'n veld na die verwerwing van die tersaaklike kwalifikasie sal 'n voordeel wees.
- Deeglike kennis van geïntegreerde waterhulpbronbestuur en waterhulpbronbeskerming.
- Kennis en begrip van die watersektor insluitend tersaaklike wetgewing (NWA, CARA en NEMA, MPRDA) tesame met die verwante beleide, regulasies, beginsels, riglyne, nutsinstrumente en prosedures; beleidontwikkeling, implementering en monitering.
- Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede insluitend verbale, verslagskryf- en voorleggingsvaardighede.
- Ster interpersoonlike vaardighede asook die vermoë om in 'n multidissiplinêre span te werk.
- Bereidwilligheid om buitengewone ure en onder druk te werk asook landwyd te reis.
- Bewese skakelings- en netwerkvaardighede veral soos dit verband hou met Korporatiewe Bestuur en belanghebbende-betrokkenheid.
Pligte
- Assesseer volledigheid van WULAs en voer terreinbesoeke uit.
- Skakel met kliënte en ander belanghebbendes om uitstaande inligting tydens WULA-assesserings te verkry.
- Versoek wetenskaplike insette binne die VOCMA asook die Department Water and Sanitation met behulp van die gespesifiseerde sjablone.
- Toegang tot en evaluering van Hidrologiese, Omgewings- en Tegniese inligting met betrekking tot lisensie-aansoeke.
- Bied bystand by die ontwikkeling van beleide en riglyne vir die implementering van die National Water Act (NWA), 36 of 1998 met betrekking tot die watergebruiksektor.
- Finale assessering van inligting wat deur Watergebruiklisensie-aansoekers ingedien is en insette van interne spesialiste.
- Opstel van rekords van aanbevelings (RoRs) en gevolglike besluitdokumente.
- Opstel van lisensievoorwaardes om die negatiewe impakte van watergebruik te beheer / versag.
- Bied bystand by die reaksie op navrae van kliënte binne en buite die departement.

The Vaal-Orange Catchment Management Agency is a Public Water Resource Management Agency, established in line with the provisions of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act no 36 of 1998) (NWA) and National Water Policy for South Africa. It is an entity of the National Department of Water and Sanitation. Employees appointed in the CMA have similar employment terms and conditions as those of employees appointed in terms of the Public Service Act, though not employed in terms of the Public Service Act.
