Ondervorsitterposisies op die Korrektiewe Dienste-paroolraad oor veelvuldige streke, wat 'n NQF-vlak 7-kwalifikasie en drie jaar se toesigervaring vereis.

Vereistes

• 'n Erkende en toepaslike NQF-vlak 7-kwalifikasie in enige Strafregplegingsveld, Sosiale Wetenskappe of verwant.
• Bewese 3 jaar toesigrol of gemeenskapsleierskapservaring asook aktiewe betrokkenheid by gemeenskapsgebaseerde strukture.
• Toewyding aan 'n korrupsie-vrye administrasie. 'n Goeie standing binne die gemeenskap met uitgebreide lewenservaring.
• Bewese spesiale belangstelling in die Strafregstelsel.

Pligte

• Verantwoordelikhede: Vergaderings voor sit in die afwesigheid van die Voorsitter.
• Dokumente onderteken in die afweisigheid van die Voorsitter.
• Deelneem aan die analise en evaluering van inligting om deurlopende risiko/gevaarlikheid in 'n individuele oortreder se saak te identifiseer, waar inligting uit 'n verskeidenheid bronne kan kom, insluitend elektroniese, papierdokumente, elektroniese opdaterings en getuienis tydens mondelinge verhore.
• Kennis en oordeel toepas op oortreders se sake om te besluit of h veilig in die gemeenskap vrygelaat kan word en toepaslike voorwaardes aanbeveel waar vrylating toepaslik is.
• Deelneem aan die verhoor van sake om risiko te beoordeel terwyl samewerkend gewerk word aan oordele oor die beskikbare getuienis en 'n beknopte en gestruktureerde opsomming van relevante faktore formuleer om te help met die neem van 'n besluit of aanbeveling.
• Deelneem aan verslagskryf, help met die opstel van volwasse opsommings en help die Voorsitter met die aanbeveling van 'n besluit. 'n Effektiewe ambassadeur wees vir die Paroolraad wanneer dit verteenwoordig word by verhore of enige ander gebeurtenis.

Term of office will be for a period of five (5) years or as may be determined by the Minister in line with Section 74 (7) of the Correctional Services Act, Act 111 of 1998. Call for applications to serve as members of the correctional supervision and parole board the Minister of Correctional Services in terms of Section 74 of the Correctional Services Act, Act 111 of 1998 invite interested and suitable candidates to apply for an opportunity to serve as members of the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board. The Parole Board is an independent body whose main aim is to protect the public by risk assessing offenders to decide whether they can be safely released into the community. The main role of a Chair (and Vice in the chairs absence) is decision making. Decision making in light of a number of factors, that is:- rights of the offender (as far as the right to be considered in light of relevant legislation), calculation of the minimum detention period, understanding of criminal justice value chain, court papers, sentencing remarks, copy of the judgment, copy of the warrant of detention, case law, SAP 69 and 62, understanding the various reports by the DCS professionals, understanding of the rehabilitation process, risk assessment, victim/community empathy, public safety etc. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service with a specific determination that they cannot be re- appointed or have been declared medically unfit will not be considered.
