Environmental Health Practitioner needed in Bushbuckridge to coordinate and supervise malaria programme field teams covering disease surveillance, vector control and case management.

Vereistes

• An appropriate National Diploma in Environmental Health / Public Health or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Environmental Health Practitioner (2026).
• Current registration with the HPCSA as an Independent Environmental Health Practitioner.
• A valid driver's licence.
• Computer literacy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of communicable disease control, environmental health legislation and public health programmes.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate field teams, work independently and under pressure, and travel extensively within the province.
• Experience in malaria control, disease surveillance, outbreak response, vector control, entomology or health promotion will be an added advantage.

• Koördineer en bestuur malaria-programveldspanne wat verantwoordelik is vir siektebewaking, vektorbeheer, entomologiese bewaking, asook malariagevalbestuur en gesondheidsbevorderingsaktiwiteite.
• Beplan, implementeer, monitor en evalueer malaria-uitroeingsintervensies in ooreenstemming met nasionale en provinsiale beleid, riglyne en operasionele planne.
• Koördineer en bestuur Binnehuis Residuele Spuitbewerings (IRS)-operasies, insluitend beplanning, implementering, gehourversekering en verslagdoening.
• Koördineer malaria-siektebewakingsaktiwiteite, insluitend gevalkennisgewing, gevalondersoek, gevalklassifikasie, reaktiewe gevalopsporing, foki-ondersoek en uitbraakreaksie.
• Neem deel aan gemeenskapsgebaseerde malaria-sifting, toetsing en behandelingsaktiwiteite in ooreenstemming met goedgekeurde malariagevalbestuursriglyne en staande operasionele prosedures.
• Ondersteun aktiewe gevalopsporing, huishoudelike sifting en opvolg van malariagevalle om plaaslike oordrag te onderbreek.
• Koördineer entomologiese bewakingsaktiwiteite, insluitend vektormonitering, muskietversamelings, insekdoderweerstandbewaking en omgewingsassesserings.
• Koördineer en implementeer malaria-gesondheidsbevordering, gemeenskapsmobilisering en gedragsveranderingskommunikasie-aktiwiteite.
• Bestuur malaria-programpersoneel, monitor prestasie en verskaf tegniese leiding en mentorskap.
• Koördineer procurementsbeplanning, voorraadbestuur en verspreiding van malaria-programkommoditeite.
• Verseker behoorlike batesbestuur, voorraadbeheer en instandhouding van programtoerusting.
• Monitor programprestasie deur roetine-data-insameling, datakwaliteitsversekering, ontleding en verslagdoening met behulp van goedgekeurde malariainligtingstelsels.
• Neem deel aan operasionele beplanning, mikro-beplanning, monitering en evaluering, operasionele navorsing en deurlopende gehaltsverbeteringsinisiatiewe.
• Voer enige ander pligte uit wat deur die toesighouer gedelegeer word.
