Produksieingenieur benodig in Pretoria om risikobepalingsverslae te hersien en drempelwaardes vir die uitsluiting van afval vir die Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment te ontwikkel.

Vereistes

  • Baccalaureusgraad in chemiese ingenieurswese of 'n relevante kwalifikasie soos deur SAQA erken, plus drie (3) jaar se ervarende nav-kwalifikasie-ervaring in hidrouliese, omgewingsingenieurswese en geotegniese ingenieurswese.
  • Verpligte registrasie by ECSA as 'n professionele ingenieur.
  • Kennis van voordelige gebruik van afval en die Nasionale Afvalbestuurstrategie.
  • Kennis en begrip van kwantitatiewe en kwalitatiewe risikobepaling.
  • Kennis van afvalkarakterisering en risikoprofilering.
  • Moet die beleids- en wetgewingsraamwerk wat besoedeling en afvalbestuur regeer, verstaan.
  • Deeglike analitiese en navorsingsvaardighede.
  • Vermoë om aktiwiteite te bestuur en daarvoor te beplan, insluitend projekte en beleidsake.
  • Kennis en ervaring in kontrakbestuur.
  • Vermoë om beleide, strategieë en wetgewing te ontwikkel, te interpreteer en toe te pas.
  • Goeie interpersoonlike verhoudingsvaardighede, belanghebbende-betrokkenheid, strategiese vermoë en leierskapsvaardighede.
  • Kennis van relevante ingenieursstandaarde.
  • Die ampsdraer moet in staat wees om onafhanklik en doeltreffend onder druk sowel as deel van 'n multidissiplinêre span te werk. 'n Geldige bestuurderslisensie en bereidwilligheid om te reis.

  • Hersien risikobepalingsverslag en risikobestuurplan in ooreenstemming met uitsluitingsregulasies.
  • Ontwikkel Nasionale Drempelwaarde-inventaris om die gehalte van afval wat vir voordelige gebruik uitgesluit gaan word, in te lig.
  • Ontwikkel metodologie en prosedures om die drempelwaarde en risiko van afvalmateriaal wat uitgesluit gaan word, te bepaal.
  • Ontwikkel databasis van voordelige gebruik van verskillende afvalstrome.
  • Prosesregistrasie vir Nasionale Norme en Standaarde vir Afval.
  • Ontwikkel en implementeer kwantitatiewe en kwalitatiewe assesseringsinstrument vir uitsluitingsaansoeke.
  • Verskaf tegniese en navorsingsondersteuning aan lisensieringsdirektoraat oor ontwikkeling van inventaris vir produkte wat van afval afgelei is.
  • Ontwikkel gehaltestandaarde vir veilige kompos en organiese afval.
  • Doen navorsing oor produkte uit afval en parameters wat gehandhaaf moet word om te verseker dat die omgewing nie in gevaar gestel word nie.
  • Ontwikkel huishoudelike standaarde vir die berging en hantering van gevaarlike afval.
  • Ontwikkel en implementeer SOP vir uitsluitingsaansoeke.

Furthermore, Shortlisted candidates must provide proof of successful completion of the course. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Persons appointed will be subjected to a security clearance, the signing of performance agreement and employment contract. The Department reserves the right not to make an appointment.
