Vereistes

• Baccalaureusgraad in Ingenieurswese of 'n relevante kwalifikasie soos deur SAQA erken, plus drie (3) jaar se ervaring na kwalifikasie in hidrouliese, omgewingsingenieurswese en geotegniese ingenieurswese.
• Verpligte registrasie by ECSA as 'n professionele Ingenieur.
• Kennis en ervaring in watergebruik, afvalbestuur, ontwerp van waterhulpbroninfrastruktuur en ontwerp, bedryf en hersieningsprosedures van mynfasiliteite.
• Kennis van Waste Classification and Management Regulations.
• Kennis van National Norms and Standards for the Assessment of Waste for Landfill Disposal.
• Kennis van Norms and Standard for Disposal of Waste to Landfill.
• Moet die beleids- en wetgewingsraamwerk wat besoedeling en afvalbestuur beheer, verstaan.
• Klank analitiese en navorsingsvaardighede.
• Vermoë om aktiwiteite te bestuur en te beplan, insluitend projekte en beleidsake.
• Kennis van National Waste Management Strategy.
• Vermoë om beleide, strategieë en wetgewing te ontwikkel, interpreteer en toe te pas.
• Goeie interpersoonlike verhoudingsvaardighede, belanghebbende-betrokkenheid, strategiese vermoë en leierskapsvaardighede.
• Kennis van relevante ingenieursstandaarde.
• Die ampshouer moet in staat wees om onafhanklik en doeltreffend onder druk te werk sowel as deel van 'n multidissiplinêre span. 'n Geldige bestuurslisensie en bereidwilligheid om te reis.

Pligte

• Bestuur en evalueer ingenieurstekeninge en ontwerpe wat vir nuwe afvalbestuurslisensie-aansoeke, variasies en paragraaf 24G-afvalbestuursaansoeke ingedien word.
• Sif, hersien en keur ontwerpsverslae en tekeninge vir nuwe afvalbestuurslisensie-aansoeke, variasies, 24G-aansoeke en registrasie goed volgens National Norms and Standards wat ingevolge die Waste Act vasgestel is.
• Bestuur die goedkeuringsproses vir konstruksie-kwaliteitsversekering en konstruksie-voltooiingsverslae van afvalfasiliteite wat gelisensieer word.
• Sif, hersien en keur konstruksie-kwaliteitsversekering en konstruksie-voltooiingsverslae goed.
• Bestuur die goedkeuring van alternatiewe materiaal tot geosintetiese materiale vir die doel van voordelige gebruik ingevolge uitsluitingsregulasies.
• Bestuur en ontwikkel 'n sakebestuurstelsel om die Direktoraat te ondersteun in die bestuur van ingenieurstekeninge en ontwerpe.
• Verskaf tegniese en navorsingsondersteuning.
• Doen navorsing oor alternatiewe afvalmateriaal wat ewewydig aan geosintetiese materiaal sal presteer.
• Ontwerp riglyne vir ingenieursontwerpe en tekeninge om te verseker dat aan relevante ingenieursstandaarde voldoen word.
• Ontwerp riglyne vir klimaatsveranderingstudies in verband met afvalaktiwiteite.

Furthermore, Shortlisted candidates must provide proof of successful completion of the course. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
