Die Kantoor van die Hoofregter soek 'n Senior Hof-tolk by die Arbeidsappèlhof in Durban om tolkdienste oor verskeie hofverrigtinge te lewer.
Vereistes
- Aansoekers moet 'n Nasionale Diploma in Tolk of 'n gelykwaardige kwalifikasie in die taalkundeveld op NQF-vlak 6 met 360 krediete, soos deur SAQA erken, hê. 'n Minimum van een (01) jaar praktiese ondervinding in 'n tolkomgewing of 'n Graad 12-sertifikaat met ten minste tien (10) jaar se praktiese ondervinding in 'n tolkomgewing.
- Bedrevenheid in Engels en Isizulu, bedrevenheid in enige ander inheemse taal, d.w.s.
- Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana of Zulu en 'n geldige bestuurderslisensie sal as 'n bykomende voordeel dien.
- Alle gekorte lys kandidate sal 'n voor-toetreedings praktiese oefening onderneem as deel van die assesseringsmetode om die kandidaat se geskiktheid op grond van die pos se tegniese en generiese vereistes te bepaal.
- Kennis en vaardighede: Kennis van tersaaklike Wette en Regulasies; kennis van kultuur; kennis van die vakgebied; weet hoe om te vertaal en in staat wees om tydraam te hou.
- Vaardig in rekenaargeletterdheid (MS Office), doeltreffende kommunikasie (skriftelik en mondeling), tydbestuur, goeie interpersoonlike verhoudinge, beplanning en organisering, besluitneming, analitiese denke, uitmuntende Engelse taal, probleemoplossing, tesame met die volgende eienskappe: buigsaam, selfgedrewe en gemotiveerd, vermoë om onder druk te werk, akkuraatheid en aandag aan besonderhede.
Pligte
- Lew tolkdiens.
- Tolk in strafregtelike verrigtinge, siviele verrigtinge, sake rakende die Wet op Bejaarde Persone, sake rakende die Wet op Gesinsbeskerming teen Teistering, Arbeidshof-sake, Onderhoudswet-sake, Kinderjustisie-sake, lykskouings en Gelykheidshof-sake; tolk in voorverhoorverrigtinge en konsultasies.
- Skakel met die toesighouer ten opsigte van tolke vir buitelandse tale; tolk van brontaaltaal na doeltaal tydens Hofverrigtinge vir voorverhoorkonsultasies; tolk nie-verbale gebare, dramatisering en belydenisse.
- Skakel met die Regbank om oor gereedheid en/of prestasie in die Hof te beraad.
- Lew hoorbare en duidelike tolking van bron- na doeltaal sonder versiering of weglatings terwyl die taal behoue bly.
- Dra die korrekte taal oor ooreenkomstig die taalgebruik van die spreker.
- Beheer die spreker en verseker dat aanhalings korrek getolk word.
- Vertaal regsdokumente en getuienisstukke.
- Bestudeer en ontleed die brondokumente.
- Voer die nodige navorsing uit en raadpleeg die tersaaklike partye.
- Verseker akkurate sitaatvertaling van dokumente.
- Kontroleer, redigeer en hersien die vertaalde dokumente.
- Vertaal meganies opgeneemde oudiomateriaal.
- Ontwikkel terminologie en verskaf steun by die rekonstruksie van rekords.
- Akkumuleer terminologie en bou 'n databasis op.
- Vul die terme en onderskeie betekenisse in die glossariumregister in.
- Versamel alle verhoordokumente wat nodig is om tolking te vergemaklik.
- Skep woorde en verrig spesifieke lyn- en administratiewe ondersteuningsfunksies vir die Regbank, Hofbestuurder en Toesighouer.

The Organisation will give preference to candidates in line with the Employment Equity goals. Each application form must be fully completed, duly signed and initialed on both pages by the applicant. Failure by the applicant to complete, sign and initial the application form will lead to disqualification of the application during the selection process.
