Vereistes

• Minimum opvoedkundige kwalifikasie: Kwalifikasie wat registrasie by die Suid-Afrikaanse Verpleegraad (SANC) as 'n Ingeskrewe Verpleegassistent toelaat.
• Registrasie by 'n professionele raad: Registrasie by SANC as Ingeskrewe Verpleegassistent.
• Ervaring: Graad 1: Geen.
• Graad 2: 'n Minimum van 10 jaar toepaslike/erkenbare ervaring in verpleging na registrasie as Verpleegassistent.
• Graad 3: 'n Minimum van 20 jaar toepaslike/erkenbare ervaring in verpleging na registrasie as Verpleegassistent.
• Inherente vereistes van die werk: Werk skofte en buite-ure insluitend naweke, openbare vakansiedae en nagdienis.
• Om na ander departemente te roteer.
• Bevoegdhede (kennis/vaardighede): Kennis van Verpleegpraktyke.
• Infeksievoorkomingbeheer, beheermaatreëls en -praktyke.
• Vermoë om basiese kliniese tekens en simptome te interpreteer.
• Basiese rekenaarvaardigheid.
• Vermoë om pasiënte op te lig en om te draai, vir lang ure te staan en swaar toerusting op te lig.

Pligte

• Assisteer pasiënte met aktiwiteite van daaglikse lewe (fisiese sorg).
• Om basiese kliniese verpleegsorg te verskaf.
• Effektiewe benutting van fisiese en finansiële hulpbronne.
• Handhaaf professionele groei, etiese standaarde en selfontwikkeling.
