Senior State Accountant in finansiële rekeningkunde vir Government Pensions Administration Agency op vlak 8.
Vereistes
- 'n Relevante 3-jaar Nasionale Diploma/Graad in Finansiële Rekeningkunde of gelykwaardige kwalifikasie (minstens 360 krediete).
- Minimum van 3 jaar toepaslike ondervinding in 'n Finansieomgewing waarvan 2 jaar in 'n toesighoudersrol is OF Vyf (5) jaar toepaslike ondervinding binne die Finansieomgewing.
- Rekenaargeletterdheid wat goeie werkkennis van Microsoft Office-produkte insluit.
- Kennis van GEP Finance and Management Act, Treasury Regulation en die interpretasie daarvan.
- Kennis van GEP Law.
- Kennis van Finansiële Rekeningkunde, analitiese vaardighede.
- Kommunikasievaardighede, interpersoonlike vaardighede, Probleemoplossingvaardighede, Vermoë om in 'n span en onafhanklik te werk, Aandag tot detail, Eerlikheid en integriteit.
Pligte
- Die inhoudshebber sal verantwoordelik wees vir 'n wye verskeidenheid van take wat onder meer die volgende insluit: Administrasie van Algemene Ledger-transaksies en verlening van finansiële rekeningkundeservise.
- Uitvoering van versoenings wat met voordele-algemene ledger-rekeninge verband hou.
- Verwerking van joernaalpostings en korrigeersies.
- Opvolging van verskille en maaking van relevante korrigeersies.
- Toesig oor onbetaalde en/of teruggestuurde betalings van die bank/poskantoor.
- Toesig oor toekenning van betalingstransaksies.
- Toesig oor Pay Master General (PMG)-debits.
- Versekering dat voordeelbetalingstatistieke maandeliks aan bestuur voorsien word.
- Hersiening van betalings wat verband hou met onderhoudsordes, magistraatstowwe, verskaffers of begunstigdes.
- Hersiening van betalings van rente op laat voordele.
- Hersiening van betalings aan DIRCO.
- Hersiening en bevestiging van nuwe en opgestelde betalingspunte.
- Versekering dat aftrekkings van onderhoudsordes geïmplementeer word.
- Versekering dat einddatums op betalings korrek gedoen en op dieselfde dag verwyder word.
- Aanvraag van stelselsopgraderings indien nodig.
- Toetsing van veranderinge op toetsplatform en versekering van korrektheid van gegewens.
- Versekering van korrektheid van veranderinge in produksieomgewing.
- Bystand in voorbereiding, navrae en voorsiening van inligting wat deur ouditeure vereis word.
- Versekering van doeltreffende bestuur van risiko's.
- Hantering van algemene klantenavrae.
- Monitering en versekering dat prosedures met betrekking tot Betalingsruns nagevolg word.
- Versekering dat al betalingsrunverslae na die run beskikbaar is.
- Hersiening van betalingsrunverslae en joernale wat verwerk is.
- Versekering dat EFT-betalinglêers na BankServ gestuur word.
- Versekering dat kasboeklêers na National Treasury gestuur word.
- Versekering dat betaling bo R1 miljoen op Safety Web National Treasury (NT) gelaai word.
- Goedkeuring van betalings op Safety Web.
- Versekering dat VET-verslae na betalingsruns ontvang word en akkurate inligting vertoon word.
- Versekering dat betalingskedules na elke betalingsrun gestuur word.
- Versekering dat verstekte uitgawe aan National Treasury gerapporteer word.
- Versekering dat betalingstatistieke vir elke betalingsrun aangeteken word.
- Herroeping van bedrae wat verkeerd betaal is.
- Administrasie van verifikasie van handleverskaffers se besonderhede.
- Vaslegging van bankbesonderhede portaal.
- Versekering dat terugvoer via veiligheidsweb ontvang word.
- Toestuur van terugvoer aan relevante besigheidsonderdeel en opvolging van terugvoer wat nie ontvang is nie.
- Toesig oor die personeel.
- Toewysing van werk volgens vaardighede en bevoegdhede van ondergeskiktes.
- Bestuur van personeelprestasie.
- Ontwikkeling, opleiding en afrigting.
- Handhawing van dissipline.
- Versekering dat ondergeskiktes ingelig word oor veranderinge in werkingomgewing of bestuursbesluiten.
- Versekering dat verlofrekords na goedkeuring aan HR ingedien word.
- Versekering dat papierware op tyd bestel word.
- Versekering dat eenheidsverfrissings op tyd bestel word.

Effective from 19 June 2026, the GPAA now utilises an e-Recruitment System which means all applicants must login/register to apply for positions, we only accept e-Recruitment online applications. The applicant’s profile on the e Recruitment is equivalent to the newly approved Z83, and it is the responsibility of applicants to ensure their profiles are fully completed or their applications will not be considered, as per the DPSA Practice Note. Certain documentation will still be required to be uploaded on the system such as copies of all qualifications including National Senior Certificate/Matric certificate, ID, etc., however these documents need not be certified at point of application, however certification will be required prior to attending the interview. The candidate must agree to the following: Shortlisted candidates must avail themselves for a virtual or in-person panel interview at a date and time determined by the GPAA. Please note: All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. It should be noted that the GPAA does not support the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in any of its recruitment and selection processes and will disqualify an application if it picks up the use of AI when completing assessments without acknowledging the source of information. Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government, available as an online course on https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/, prior to finalisation of appointment, is a requirement for all SMS positions. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Applicants must note that pre-employment checks and references will be conducted once they are short-listed and the appointment is also subject to a positive outcome on these checks, which include but not limited to: security clearance, security vetting, qualification/study verification, citizenship verification, financial/asset record check, previous employment verification and criminal record. Applicants will be required to meet vetting requirements as prescribed by Minimum Information Security Standards in line with the new DPSA Directive effective 01 April 2024. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have all their foreign qualifications (this includes O and A level certificates) evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), at your own expense. Upon appointment, successful candidates will be required to sign a Performance Agreement within 3 months from date of appointment and for candidates whose appointment exceeds 12 calendar months will be appointed on probation for the period of twelve (12) calendar months excluding leave taken as prescribed by Public Service Regulation 68.
