Toesig hou oor kinderwerk en jeugsorggwerk, fasiliteer intervensies, en bestuur residensiële programme in die Wes-Kaap.
Vereistes
- Senior Sertifikaat (Graad 12 of ekwivalente kwalifikasie);
- Minimum 10 jaar geskikte ondervinding in Kinderwerk en Jeugsorggwerk nadat die vereiste kwalifikasie verkry is;
- Geldige Kode B-rybewys (of hoër).
- Bevoegdhede: Kennis van die volgende: Minimumnorme;. Prestasiebestuurstelsels;
- Kindersorggwet, beleid, wetgewing, Batho Pele-beginsels en administratiewe prosedures;

- Vaardighede in die volgende: Bewese rekenaargeletterdheid in MS Office;
- Kommunikasie (skriftelik en mondeling) vaardighede;
- Werk doeltreffend saam met Maatskaplike Werkers en lede van multisektorale spanne in maatskaplike dienslewering;

- Basiese navorsings- en analitiese vaardighede;

Pligte
- Fasiliteer en hou toesig oor die versorging van en lewensruimte-intervensies van kinders en jongmense, wat die volgende inhou: Bou 'n positiewe verhouding met inwoners;
- Skep 'n versorgde en stimulerende omgewing vir inwoners;
- Monitor die implementering van die daaglikse gestruktureerde programme;
- Vorm deel van 'n multidissiplinêre span;
- Verseker dat die aanbevole ontwikkelings- en rekreatiefprogram me deur deurlopende ondersteuning, leiding en advies aan ondergeskiktes geïmplementeer word;
- Monitor en neem deel aan die evaluering van die aanbevole ontwikkelings- en rekreasieprogram me;
- Verseker verslaggewing oor vordering met ontwikkelings- en rekreasieprogram me;
- Neem deel aan die identifikasie van insidente;
- Deurlopende professionele ontwikkeling;
- Hou toesig oor en verrig klerklike en administratiewe funksies.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to assess relevant functional elements of the job and an interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. The successful candidate will be required to complete the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme (Nyukela) and submit the certificate before he/she can be appointed to this post. The purpose of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme, which is a public service specific training programme applicable to all applicants who aspire to join the SMS, is to ensure that potential SMS members have a background in processes and procedures linked to the SMS. The duration of the online Pre-Entry Programme is 120 notional hours (15 days). This assessment shall be conducted to determine an individual’s ability to lead, manage, and direct others and to identify developmental gaps in core generic leadership and management competencies. The successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment contract and a performance agreement. The successful candidate will be subject to security vetting; and the candidate will have to disclose her/his financial interests.
