Vereistes

• 'n Toepaslike Fitter and Turner Trade Test Sertifikasie.
• Die openbaarmaking van 'n geldige, onvervalle bestuurslisensie.
• Bereidwilligheid om produksie- en oorwerk uit te voer wanneer dit vereis word.
• Goed ingelig met die vereistes van die OHSA (85 of 1993). Rekenaargeletterd.
• Probleemoplossings- en analisevermoë gekombineer met produksie- en prosesbewustheid.
• Bereidwilligheid om te reis en in staat om lange ure te werk, standby-diens uit te voer en goed onder druk te presteer.

Pligte

• Lewer instandhoudingsdiens vir meganiese/elektriese georiënteerde funksies: onderhoud en herstel meganiese installasies en toerusting in verskeie damme, waterstelle, departementele huise, pompstasies, masjinerie, damwalle en pipelyne.
• Inspekteer toerusting vir tegniese foute en herstel volgens standaarde, bedien toerusting volgens skedule.
• Stel saam, monitor, evalueer en inspekteer beplande, geskeduleerde instandhoudingsplanne en projekte in terme van spesifikasies, werkskedulules en standaardbedryfsprosedures.
• Toesig hou oor en mentor personeelslede en beheer toerusting, voorraad, materiale en gereedskap wat in die Area Office gebruik word.
• Voer administratiewe en verwante funksies uit, verdeling werkskedulules en voltooi werkkaarte.
• Verseker dat gereedskap en materiale behoorlik gebruik en bestuur word.

Candidates may be required to complete a practical and theoretical test. Please be advised that the office will transition to a SANWRI agency. A pre-entry certificate obtained from the National School of government is required prior to the appointment. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
