- Assist with routine workshop, maintenance and built environment activities under appropriate supervision.
- Prepare work areas, materials, tools and equipment for maintenance activities.
- Load, unload and transport workshop materials, tools, equipment and departmental assets as required.
- Care for, clean and store tools and equipment, and report damaged or defective items.
- Maintain clean, safe and orderly workshops, plant rooms and work areas in compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
- Handle tools, materials and equipment responsibly to prevent loss, damage or misuse.
- Perform other reasonable duties related to the post as instructed by the supervisor.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only. The successful candidate will be expected to enter into an employment contract and a performance agreement within 3 months of appointment.
