Izidingo

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • An appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Auto-Electrical.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience as an Artisan and/or Artisan Foreman in the relevant trade.
  • Applicants must have experience in vehicles, heavy vehicle, construction plant, earthmoving equipment or related technical maintenance environments.
  • Applicants should have at least two (2) years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Applicants are required to be able to perform duties in offices, workshops, districts and field/operational sites.
  • A post-matric qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Project management; technical design, diagnostics and analysis; vehicle, plant and equipment auto-electrical systems; computer-aided technical and diagnostic applications; relevant statutory compliance; technical report writing and consulting; maintenance and production processes; problem solving and decision making; quality assurance; financial and resource management; people management; change management; communication; computer skills; planning and organising.

Umsebenzi

  • Manage technical services and support across fields, workshop, district and technical office activities within the auto-electrical discipline.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, complex diagnostics, technical assessments and operational priorities.
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with technical, safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Artisan Foremen, Artisans and related technical personnel, resources and assets.
  • Provide input into technical procedures, operational plans and budgets, and compile technical and management reports.
  • Monitor expenditure and promote the efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Manage staff performance and development, provide senior technical advice and support, and manage conflict where required.
  • Maintain and advance technical expertise and support continuous improvement and the introduction of appropriate technologies.
  • Engage formally and regularly with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate stakeholder meetings at technical and district levels.
