Imiqobo

  • To engage communities on departmental projects.
  • Provide social facilitation to programs and projects that are funded by the department.
  • Identify and engage relevant stakeholders in communities where the department is implementing projects.
  • Act as a bridge between the departmental programs and communities which are beneficiaries of the department.
  • Ensure proper engagements with local stakeholders when any kind of development is brought by the department.
  • Conducting awareness campaigns and stakeholders are well coordinated when it comes to development by the department in the local communities.
  • Conducting stakeholder engagements and be able to give feedback to the community and the department.
  • Ensure provision of support to all departmental projects from inception until completion.
  • Ensuring that communities are well sensitised in the rural development space.
  • Ensure that there is proper alignment between projects implemented and the goal of the directorate.
  • Coordinate the implementation of rural projects in the province, ensure that beneficiaries are linked to different stakeholders.
  • Application of relevant legislations that talks to rural development.

The first two recommended candidates for Deputy Directors posts will be subjected to competency assessment. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only. The successful candidate will be expected to enter into an employment contract and a performance agreement within 3 months of appointment. Failure to comply with the above instructions will result in your application being disqualified.
