  • DUTIES` : Providing advice and support to management and employees on labour- relations matters.
  • Managing and providing guidance on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Conducting preliminary investigations into alleged misconduct and preparing relevant reports.
  • Assisting management with disciplinary hearings and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures.
  • Facilitating the resolution of workplace grievances and conflicts.
  • Assisting with the management and resolution of labour disputes.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation relating to disciplinary, grievance and dispute matters.
  • Representing or assisting the institution at relevant labour-relations structures and dispute-resolution processes.
  • Monitoring compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Public Service regulations, collective agreements and departmental policies.
  • Providing advice on employee relations and workplace conduct.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential labour-relations records and statistics.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and other labour-relations reports as required.
  • Monitoring trends relating to misconduct, grievances, disputes and absenteeism and recommending appropriate interventions.
  • Participating in labour-management meetings and consultations with organised labour.
  • Promoting sound employer-employee relationships and a harmonious working environment.
  • Assisting with the implementation of labour-relations policies, procedures and departmental initiatives.

  • Ensure appropriate management and treatment of dental patients.
  • Provide quality oral health care to patients (whole spectrum, i.e. restoration, filling and extraction) Ensure appropriate referral of patients.
  • Implement policies and guidelines (IPC, waste management).
  • Proper utilization and safeguarding of all allocated sources.
  • Conduct oral health education to patients and identified groups.
  • Strengthen the referral systems to the chc and next level of care.
  • Participate in oral health preventative programs.
  • Participate in oral health month activities (i.e. screening, health talks, etc.).
  • Conduct service need index screening at schools (i.e. cleaning of teeth extraction).
  • Supervision of Junior staff members in the department.
  • Implement a continuous monitoring of staff through EPMDS.
  • Provide conservative dentistry service to prolong teeth mobility.
  • Perform exodontials within the scope of dental therapy practise.
  • Identify serious oral diseases and abnormalities.
  • Participate in all outreach programmes as needed.
  • Compile daily statistics, analyse and submit monthly reports timeously as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement programmes thus contribute to accreditation norms and standard.
