Household AID (2 posts) at Department of Health and Wellness in Western Cape.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Experience: Appropriate / recognisable experience in cleaning, linen management and handling of food.
• Inherent requirements of the job: Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies.
• Render a shift service on weekends, public holidays, day and night and duties and rotate in different departments according to operational needs and requirements.
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Incumbent must have the ability to mix cleaning fluids, count and calculate linen supply.
• Read diet lists.
• Good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Duties

• Renders effective, efficient and safe hygiene in wards.
• Serving of meals and refreshment.
• Handling and removal of waste.
• Support to Supervisor.
• Effective utilization of resources.
